Celtic will face Aberdeen in the final of the Scottish Cup, which will take place at Hampden Park. There is only one week left till the match.

Currently, Celtic are the holders of the title, having defeated Rangers by a score of 1-0 in the previous year. The dramatic late winner scored by Adam Idah caused joyous celebrations in Mount Florida.

That was the 42nd time that the Bhoys have been successful in the competition, and on May 24th, they will be doing everything in their power to make it a record-breaking 43rd time.

The final of the Scottish Cup will be a momentous occasion not only for the players, staff, and fans of both sides, but also for the officials with the responsibility of officiating the match.

A significant amount of pressure is placed on referees to make decisions that are appropriate, and only the most experienced officials are given the privilege of taking leadership of the overall game.

The Scottish Cup final in 2025 will be officiated by Don Robertson.

This year, the individual who will preside over the proceedings in the south-eastern part of Glasgow will be Don Robertson, who has been chosen by the Scottish Football Association (SFA).

Despite the fact that he has a great deal of expertise, this will be the very first time that the 38-year-old has ever been in charge of a Scottish Cup final.

The video assistant referee for the championship match is Greg Aitken, who, along with Andrew Dallas, was one of the first full-time VAR officials for the Soccer Federation of America (SFA) in August of 2023.

In addition to Colin Steven, Ross Macleod and David Dunne will be in charge of running the lines, and Colin Steven has been assigned the responsibility of being the fourth official on the day.

Robertson’s record as a referee in games involving Celtic matches
Robertson is a Glaswegian and has a wealth of experience officiating matches that involve Celtic, who have won the Premiership four times and have won the Scottish Cup twice in a row.

Over the course of his career, Robertson has coached a total of 44 matches for Celtic. The only games he has officiated that involve Rangers are the 54 matches that are presently in progress.

Among those 44 games, Celtic have won 37 of them, drawn four of them, and lost three of them. While Robertson has given the Bhoys a total of eight penalty kicks, there have been 35 yellow cards and two red cards handed out. In addition, there have been two red cards.

During the previous season, he was the referee for the victory against Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final. In January, he was also in charge of the Glasgow derby that took place at Ibrox.
