Ross County’s 26-year-old forward Ronan Hale explained why he was so pained that Celtic won the match vs. Ross County in the Scottish Premiership match
Although Celtic fans unanimously celebrate late victories, there is a Ross County fan who remains disheartened by the Dingwall outcome.
Brendan Rodgers maintained his unblemished Scottish Premier League record with a tense Celtic victory over Ross County yesterday afternoon.
The Celtic supporters who traveled to Ross County’s home were filled with joy as a result of a late comeback, which sets up a significant top-of-the-table matchup with Aberdeen following the international break.
Ronan Hale of Ross County explains why he was so disappointed that the Hoops were able to take all three points back to Glasgow, despite the fact that every Celtic supporter will have been overjoyed with the outcome.
Ronan Hale’s Celtic Supporting Family will be ribbed. Alistair Johnston’s deflected equalizer for the Bhoys leveled the scores, and Nicolas Kuhn provided the Hoops with the 87th-minute Ross County winner. Hale must have believed that his first-half penalty would secure a historic victory over Celtic.
And in regards to his penalty, Hale acknowledges that he will face “a bit of grief” in Ireland when he takes the second opportunity to score the spot kick, which would have given County a 1-0 lead.
Hale stated, “It was one of those instances where I felt comfortable stepping up to take the penalty.” It is evident that I failed to attend my most recent event; however, I believed that I was sufficiently assured to pursue it.
“Then, it was fortunate that he was off his line, and I thought, “Listen, there is no better way to lay this to rest and let chance take its course again.” I was fortunate to have done so.
“I was hesitant to provide him with an opportunity.” In addition, my initial item was not situated sufficiently in the cranny, while the subsequent item was situated directly within it. Therefore, it was one of those instances in which I simply needed to establish a strong connection, and it has been successfully accomplished.
Hale, a Ross County striker who is a self-proclaimed Celtic fan, was asked about the reaction of his goal in his hometown. He responded, “I am certain that I will receive some criticism, but I am confident that they would have been happy for me.”
“You are aware that I am a fan, but it is of no consequence on the field.” Today, I demonstrated that I was solely motivated by winning, and I am confident that I succeeded.
Ross County striker Hale acknowledges Celtic’s “blow” Celtic’s most recent loss to Ross County occurred in 2021. In fact, the Staggies have only won five of the 43 meetings between the clubs. The former Republic of Ireland U21 forward and his Ross County companions are disappointed that they were so close to the sixth victory.
Hale continued, “I believe it was a significant blow to receive at the conclusion.” I know, we persevered; Celtic is an exceptional team.
“It will never be easy when you are up 1-0.” However, after we conceded the initial point, it was simply a matter of, “Listen, can we continue to hold on for the draw?”
“And it did not transpire on the designated date.” However, I believed that the lads were brilliant from the very beginning. Additionally, it is merely one of those days.
The Celtic supporters can take a break and unwind, secure in the knowledge that their position at the summit of the Scottish Premiership table will remain unaffected until Aberdeen visits on October 19th.
The first occasion this season that a points gap has separated Brendan Rodgers’ side from The Dons will occur if Celtic win that game.
Rodgers is currently fighting on four competition fronts, and Celtic’s fixtures are approaching at an accelerated pace. Therefore, any advantage that can be achieved at the summit of the table will be appreciated in order to create a small margin of safety between the rest of the opposition.
