Salah is “apprehensive” about returning to Liverpool following Jota’s passing. Mohamed Salah stated that the Premier League champions had postponed the return of certain players for pre-season training due to the death of Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota in a car accident,

In the early hours of Thursday, the Portugal forward and his younger sibling, Andre Silva, were killed when their vehicle veered off a Spanish motorway and caught fire. Jota’s Liverpool teammates have expressed their inability to understand his passing, with captain Virgil van Dijk expressing his
“absolutely devastated and in total disbelief” on Instagram. According to Liverpool manager Arne Slot, it was the responsibility of all club members to “stand together and be there for one another” in honor of Jota. Salah, an international footballer from Egypt, paid tribute to Jota on Friday. “I am genuinely at a loss for words,”
the Premier League’s leading scorer from the previous season wrote on Instagram. “I never imagined that there would be an event that would make me apprehensive about returning to Liverpool after the break until yesterday.” “Teammates come and go, but this is not the case.” It will be exceedingly challenging to acknowledge that Diogo will not be present when we return.
