Saul Niguez revealed his extensive recovery from injury during his loan at Sevilla this season.
Saul Niguez has disclosed his extensive recuperation from injury during his loan at Sevilla this season.
The Spanish international, who was at a juncture in his career prior to the 2024/25 campaign, opted to accept a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid in order to resurrect his La Liga fortunes.
The 30-year-old, who is preparing to return to the field before the end of 2024, acknowledged that the most recent rehabilitation has been the most challenging of his career. This included a period of recuperation in Madrid.
“I experienced a negative experience during our training session at the stadium prior to the Derby.
As a result, I requested to participate in a portion of the recovery process in Madrid due to my mental health.”
Marca quotes, “The break was beneficial for me, as I missed the team. The most important thing is to continue to contribute from the stands or the bench.”
“I have consistently endeavoured to maintain a close relationship with my teammates.” I am feeling significantly better, and with each passing day, I am becoming more attuned to my surroundings.
I have been participating in team training for the past six days. This weekend, Sevilla will host Osasuna in La Liga action.
If Saul is not included, he is expected to participate in the midweek Copa del Rey match against Olot.
