Celtic fans could take a break from the international break when they went to the Showgrounds to play Sligo Rovers during the week.

The Honduran scored a hat-trick for Celtic in a 3-2 win in Ireland, which made Brendan Rodgers want to bring him back into the team.

Luke McCowan and Hyunjun Yang was also singing for the Bhoys on a night when they thanked their fans across the water.

At the same time, Maik Nawrocki, Stephen Welsh, and Maik Nawrocki all played more minutes for the season.

Overall, Rodgers was happy with Celtic’s performance in Sligo. He told his less-used players to see the game as a chance to shine, and some of them did. Not only him was everyone pleased with the night’s work.

Following the Hoops’ win over the League of Ireland team, Peter Grant has added some more reasons to be optimistic. Peter Grant talks about Celtic’s win over Sligo Rovers 1. Grant praised the “terrific attitude” that Celtic’s older players and young stars showed as a whole against Sligo Rovers on the Go Radio Football Show.
He said, “I thought all the senior players had great attitudes.” The most important thing about these games, in my opinion, is that everyone gets a break. All the other teams and these boys went out there and had some time off.

“I’m sure that in the back of their minds, they’d like to take this little break because they’re traveling everywhere and sitting on the bench every week, even though they’re not playing. But all of the senior players had a great attitude.”

You expect the younger ones to do that, but they need to show it first.
