It’s been a week full of news about investments in Celtic, especially since Snoop Dogg is said to want to put money into the Parkhead club.

Over the weekend, talked about how American rapper Snoop Dogg wants to put a lot of money into Celtic, saying that the “so special” Celtic fans are one reason for this. Jeff Stelling and Dean Saunders questioned Snoop’s loyalty as a Celtic fan, which has led to a lot of talk about this over the last few days. Yesterday, Ally McCoist also responded to the news.

He joked that he would never listen to the American rapper again after hearing that Snoop wants to work at Celtic. After Rangers released their accounts yesterday, McCoist had a very different view of the news today. He and Alan Brazil talked about which famous people would also be interested in investing in Celtic.

Alan Brazil doesn’t think Dermot Desmond would “sell a piece” of Celtic. Brazil told talkSPORT, “If you want to buy Rangers or Celtic, I don’t think Dermot Desmond would sell a piece of Celtic, would he?” It seems likely that he wouldn’t. “I wouldn’t have thought so,” McCoist said. Brazil: “I believe Rod Stewart would be the first in line, wouldn’t he?” McCoist: “I believe he would be interested.” “I think the boys at Simple Minds would be interested,” said Brazil. McCoist says Celtic don’t need money and is furious with Rangers’ annual report. Yesterday, Rangers announced that they lost £17.2 million in the last year.

While Celtic has a lot of cash, McCoist and Brazil then talked about who could invest in the Ibrox side. “With all due respect, Celtic don’t really need anyone to buy into them right now, do they?” asked McCoist.

McCoist: “I don’t know myself at all.” I really have no idea. But something needs to be done because those numbers we talked about at six o’clock are not good. They’re not good at all. Since Celtic is in great financial shape right now and Rangers is having a hard time, it might be a while before the Ibrox club can really fight with Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.

Tonight, Celtic plays Dundee at Celtic Park, and Rangers goes to Pittodrie to play Aberdeen. It’s not going to be a good week for McCoist if Celtic beats the Taysiders and The Dons beat the Ibrox club.
