For Celtic fans, this season’s race for the title has been a real mixed bag.

Around October, Brendan Rodgers’ team looked unbeatable. But injuries and players losing form hurt them, and they lost their seven-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

However, Celtic now has a three-point lead at the top of the table going into the big Glasgow Derby this weekend. This is because all of their best players are back from injury and looking like they did before.

They’ve changed so much in such a short time, and they only have three games left. Celtic is now the favorite to win the league title at the end of the month.

That wasn’t always the case, though. The story went that Rangers were on top and that Celtic looked like they were done.

What’s different now?

Michael Stewart says that Celtic has gained “momentum.”
Michael Stewart is sure that he knows exactly when Celtic gained the upper hand in the title fight.

Stewart knew right away when the Ibrox club began to fall apart after Celtic’s 3-0 win over Hearts and Rangers’ 4-1 win over Kilmarnock.

Stewart [Sportscene] said, “In terms of the bigger picture and how that fits into next week at Celtic Park.” There’s no way it could be bad, that much is certain, but I’m not sure if it will boost their morale.

“I’m not sure.” Rangers will go to Celtic Park with the belief that they can win, which gives this one more psychological edge.

“They were in great shape going into their last game at home against Celtic, but they never showed up.” Celtic blew out the other team.

“Rangers were able to get back on track, and they felt like they had won.” But since then, things have gone wrong for them.

“And I don’t know if, mentally, that game—even though they tied it 3–3—made them feel like Celtic coming back almost scared them.”

“And I think the game’s momentum has really changed.” That they were almost scared and startled that Celtic were back on track.

Since the draw at Ibrox, Celtic have won three straight league games and scored eight goals. Rangers, on the other hand, lost to Ross County and tied with Dundee at Dens Park, which cost them points.

Those results mean that if Celtic beats Philippe Clement’s team at Parkhead this weekend, they could be just one game away from winning the title.

And after a bad month of games in February in which Celtic tied Aberdeen and Kilmarnock, this is a great place to be as the race for the title comes to a close.
