Celtic
Scottish former footballer Michael Stewart shares what he know if Cameron Carter-Vickers can make starting lineup squad ahead of Celtic against Atalanta
Celtic’s defense will face another mental test when they go to Italy on Wednesday.
After losing their last Champions League game, extra pressure has been put on the whole Celtic team, not just the back line.
Celtic lost to Borussia Dortmund even though Celtic was playing very well and didn’t have any mental issues.
But once more, Brendan Rodgers is under a dark cloud because of the Champions League, and many people are waiting for him to say something.
That answer could lead to a good outcome, but some people think Rodgers needs to change his strategy in Europe.
One thing that should be mentioned is that the best defender for the club, Cameron Carter-Vickers, has been hurt since September and hasn’t played since, which doesn’t help anyone.
Cameron Carter-Vickers should start for Celtic against Atalanta, according to Michael Stewart.
Auston Trusty, who is also from England, has filled in for Carter-Vickers while he was away, but he is still getting used to life in the U.S. after moving there in the summer.
Fans can’t wait to see if Carter-Vickers is ready and can play. Michael Stewart has said that he is a “massive plus” for the team.
Some people would say not to risk him, but Stewart told The Scottish Football Podcast that he thinks Rodgers will play him if he is “close.”
Stewart said, “Carter-Vickers being on the team is a huge plus for them.” “You saw that last season, when there were a lot of issues and no one knew what was going on.” The team was missing some stars.
“Carter-Vickers brought peace to the team when he came back.” People who were around him felt confident because of how well he performed and led. Even though this season the team has done really, really well.
“Of course, taking someone like him off the team is going to have an effect. With Carter-Vickers on defense for Celtic, it makes it harder for the other team to score.” Aberdeen was able to make the most of what they had. The game against Atalanta is going to be very important for Celtic. It seems likely that Carter-Viickers will play that game if he is close.
Carter-Vickers trains with Celtic before the game against Atalanta.
Celtic’s match against Atalanta is one of the toughest in the pretty fair Champions League draw they got.
After all, they won the Europa League and gave Arsenal a lot of trouble in their 0-0 draw with the English team.
You could say that Carter-Vickers should be pushed to start this game in that way.
Also, video of Carter-Vickers working before the Atalanta game has come out, which is great for everyone.
