Sir Jim Ratcliffe to sack Man United coach Erik Ten Hag and replace him with Zinedine Zidane and sign seven (7) New players as pressure mount on Manchester United
Someone thinks Zinedine Zidane should take over for Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
After United’s weak performance in the FA Cup semi-final against Championship team Coventry, Ten Hag’s future at United is becoming less clear.
United won in the end on penalties, but they lost a 3-0 lead and had to survive a dramatic VAR scare deep into extra time.
Many experts and former players agree that Ten Hag will leave United at the end of the season because of how they won.
Thomas Tuchel is the most recent well-known name to be linked to the Old Trafford job. However, Ally McCoist, a former Scotland international, said Zidane would be a great fit for United.
McCoist told talkSPORT BET, “I just get the feeling that given the new ownership and the fact that Sir Jim Ratcliffe has brought in a lot of his own men, he might want to bring in his own manager as well.”
“It’s a project, and I think they need six or seven new players even if they fire the manager. You could make the case that that’s more important.”
“The next step is to hire new players, and someone will be in charge of doing that.” I’m not sure if Ten Hag will be it.
So, I’d love for Zinedine Zidane to become the manager of Manchester United. It seems like he would be a great fit for the club, and if I had to choose, I would choose him.
It’s likely that Thomas Tuchel would jump at the chance to be the next United manager, but I would choose Zidane.”
Ten Hag, meanwhile, called rumors about his future “a disgrace” after his team made it to the FA Cup final for the second year in a row.
He told them, “You [the media] made enough of it, and the question is: Is it embarrassing?'” You made me feel bad with how you responded. Comments are what it is.
“Top football is all about wins.” We earned our spot in the final by winning this game and the ones that came before it.
“We lost control for 20 minutes, and we also had bad luck when the score was 3-2 (a blocked goal) and 3-3 (a penalty that wasn’t clear).
“The penalties were great, and we made it to the final, which is a huge accomplishment.” Two times in two years is great. As a boss at United and Ajax, I was in four cup finals in four years. What they said is shameful.
