South African football coach Benni McCarthy reveals the major reason why the 24-year-old winger Jadon Sancho who is on loan to Borussia Dortmund refuse to apologise to Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag after social media fallout

Jadon Sancho’s refusal to apologize to Erik ten Hag earlier this season has been clarified by Benni McCarthy, the first-team coach at Manchester United.

After witnessing his disagreement with the Dutchman play out in public, Sancho was sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund during the transfer window’s January session. Following the failure of the English winger to express regret for a social media message that was intended at Ten Hag, the United manager decided to permanently remove him from the team.

The following is an excerpt from the post: “Please do not believe everything that you read. During this week’s training, I have been quite well behaved, and I will not tolerate anyone expressing anything that is unequivocally false. For a very long time, I’ve been used as a scapegoat, which is not fair, and I believe that there are other reasons for this problem that I won’t go into.

Ten Hag had asserted that Sancho was not performing at the needed “level” in training to be selected for first-team matches, and this was a response to that assertion. As a consequence of this, the 24-year-old player joined the Premier League on three occasions as a substitute before being barred from participating in any matchday squads in the future.

Jadon Sancho, a forward for Manchester United, has been on loan at Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the 2014–15 season.

“I spoke to the manager, and I told him that you know the delicacy,” McCarthy stated in an interview with 947. McCarthy was elaborating on the reasons why Sancho chose to maintain his position in this situation.

I told him that. I believe that Jadon is under the impression that if he apologizes, he will be categorized as someone who does not put in a lot of effort in his training, that he does not work hard, and that everything that has been stated about him is an accurate representation of the truth.

After that, the United coach and former Blackburn Rovers striker stated, “If you are from the streets, no one wants to apologise because then you are admitting that you are not training well, that you are lazy, and whatever else you are accused of.”

On the contrary, Jadon was not going to accept that. The manager has recently been quoted as saying that all he requires is an apology. It was as a coach, as a mentor, as a buddy, and as someone who has grown up on the streets and is familiar with the code that I conducted my conversation with Jadon. Nevertheless, Jadon was unable to comprehend it. “I ain’t apologizing because if I do, I’m apologizing for being lazy, always being late, and not giving my best,” he stated. “I’m not apologizing until I apologize.” The reason I am apologizing is because of that. And those were the primary reasons he gave.

With twenty games for Dortmund, Sancho has made the most of his return to the German club, which has helped Dortmund advance to the final of the Champions League. There is a possibility that his future at Old Trafford will be heavily influenced by the decision that the United hierarchy has not yet made regarding whether or not Ten Hag will remain with the club this summer.
