There have been a lot of young stars come and go from Manchester City’s school.

People like Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Rico Lewis, Oscar Bobb, Jadon Sancho, James Trafford, Shea Charles, James McAtee, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, and many more have played for City as kids.

In fact, Ben Wilkinson, one of City’s academy teachers, said in May that Lewis reminded him of Philipp Lahm when he was young.

Some young players start out in City’s school, but the club has also been known to sign kids from other teams in England and other countries.

Now, though, it’s been said that the Blues are almost done getting another great young player.

Fabrizio Romano says that Marlow Barrett is almost signed by Man City.

Fabrizio Romano recently wrote this on his public X account about the subject.

It was said that Manchester City was working on a new Academy sign-up while they were getting close to signing Marlow Barrett, a talented player from Coventry City.

“City beat out several top Premier League clubs to sign the defender who will join the #MCFC Academy.”

Barrett has got to be a great gift.

Romano says that City beat out several Premier League clubs to sign Barrett. This makes us think that the 15-year-old is a tremendous talent that these clubs believe has what it takes to become a future first-team player.

If City does manage to sign the Coventry youngster, it will be interesting to see how the defender does in the club’s youth ranks and if he can become a first-team player for City like Foden, Lewis, and Bobb.
