Manchester City
Sport journalist Fabrizio Romano speaks up on 30-year-old midfielder Mateo Kovacic’s performance after adjustment into the Manchester City club
Without a question, Mateo Kovacic has had a great start to the new season for Manchester City.
The Croatian player has played all four of City’s Premier League games so far, filling in for Rodri, who came back late in the summer.
Kovacic has done a great job as the starting midfielder and may have been one of the best players for the team in the first few weeks.
We will now see if his level of interest goes down now that Rodri is back together. He wouldn’t deserve to be put on the bench, though.
Since Rodri is the best defensive player in the world, there is no doubt that he will be brought back into the team. Most likely, the only question is whether Kovacic will play with him.
Not long ago, there was a story that linked Kovacic to Saudi Arabia, which was a little bizarre. Fabrizio Romano has now given a report on what’s going on.
Mateo Kovacic and Man City are both “very happy” with each other.
After making 46 starts, Kovacic had a good first season at City.
People weren’t really blown away by him. But he fit right in and played with confidence a lot in the middle of the field.
Rodri’s absence in the first few weeks of the new season has given Kovacic his chance to shine, and he has.
But recently, during this good run, it was said that Saudi club Al-Nassr wanted to sign him in January. Cristiano Ronaldo was especially eager to play with an old Real Madrid partner again.
But well-known writer Fabrizio Romano says a move in January is still not in the cards. Earlier this month, Romano said there were no offers for Kovacic.
He said on the show Here We Go, “Right now, I can promise you that people close to Kovacic have not received anything.” There is no official offer from Al-Nassr, and Manchester City has no idea that Saudi Arabia is interested in Mateo Kovacic. Right now, there isn’t much that can be said about it.
The people at Man City are very happy with Kovacic. People think he’s a great worker. They’re happy with him, and he’s happy at City.
This season, Kovacic has shown how valuable he is. He should be kept.
What does Mateo Kovacic do? Take a look into the beautiful Man City midfielder’s life.
It looks like Kovacic will be staying at City for the whole season, which is great news.
This term has shown us what a key person he is. The £30 million signing has played really well when Rodri hasn’t been available, and he rarely lets down when he’s needed.
Now that Rodri is back, Kovacic may not start as many games for City. But City should never even think about letting him leave in the middle of the season. Thank goodness this doesn’t sound like the plan.
His skills are still very good, and he shouldn’t even think about moving to Saudi for at least another two years.
