Supporters reacts Chris Davies’ post-match latest matchinterview

Birmingham fans vent frustration after Davies interview following Bristol City defeat

Bristol City’s Sinclair Armstrong grabbed his first goal in nearly a year to fire the Robins to a 1-0 win over Birmingham City at Ashton Gate on Saturday afternoon.

It’s been a tough step back into Championship life for the Blues. After storming to the League One title last season with a record-breaking 111 points, many expected Chris Davies’ men to challenge near the top. Instead, their latest defeat leaves them 15th in the table with just four wins from twelve games and a -4 goal difference.

Following the match, Davies’ post-game interview was shared on social media — and fans weren’t impressed. The Blues boss suggested his side “weren’t quick or forward enough,” despite 72% possession and just one shot on target.

Supporters flooded X with angry reactions, slamming the team’s slow build-up and lack of cutting edge:

“It’s like you’ve told them to pass sideways all season,” one fan complained.

“We had 28 crosses — but no target man! What’s the plan?” another added.

Birmingham’s struggles in front of goal continue, with only four Championship sides scoring fewer than their 11 goals so far this season. Fans are now demanding more urgency, creativity, and risk-taking from a side that dominated League One just months ago.
