The 24-year-old midfielder Emile Smith Rowe explains his hidden reason why to move to Fulham this summer
Emile Smith Rowe has talked about why he chose to leave Arsenal and join Fulham, even though other Premier League teams were interested.
Emile Smith Rowe is excited to start his new journey with Fulham. He says that moving from Arsenal to Fulham is the “perfect step” in his career. He joined Craven Cottage in a deal that could be worth up to £34 million. The defender is 24 years old.
Smith Rowe, who came up through Arsenal’s academy and was a key player under boss Mikel Arteta, has signed a five-year deal with Fulham that can be extended for a sixth year. Even though he did well at Arsenal at first, he had been having trouble getting playing time lately, which is why he moved to Fulham.
“These last few seasons have been rough for me, so I think it was important that I felt at home somewhere else,” Smith Rowe said. “I am thrilled to be here and can’t wait to begin.” It’s a good time for my family and me.
Smith Rowe was excited to join Fulham and said he was looking forward to getting along with his new teammates right away. He also said, “After hearing about the project, talking to the manager, and seeing the players we already have here, I think it’s an exciting project for me and the next step in my career.”
He praised Fulham manager Marco Silva for having a clear strategy and taking a direct approach. “When he talked to me, I could tell right away that he is sure of how he wants to play.” He gets right to the point, and I’m really excited.
Smith Rowe has gone to Portugal to join Fulham’s pre-season tour team with the goal of making an instant difference. He knows a lot of Fulham players, like Alex Iwobi and Bernd Leno, who used to play for Arsenal and have recently gotten in touch with him. Smith Rowe also knows Ryan Sessegnon from when they were both playing for England at the young level.
“I play with a strong desire to attack.” Smith Rowe said, “I like to do everything I can to help the team win.” “I like to score goals and help my teammates score goals.” Also, I can’t wait to meet the fans.
