As was once again demonstrated at Ibrox, it is always the inept who are required to ruin it. Celtic recorded a 1-1 stalemate against Rangers on Sunday, as the shares were spoiled for the final Glasgow derby of the season. The actions of Rangers bench player Neraysho Kasanwirjo in response to a glass bottle being hurled at Celtic’s Viljami Sinisalo Despite Barry Ferguson’s four substitutions from the bench during the encounter, Neraysho Kasanwirjo was left un-used. The same nonsense transpired during Celtic’s previous visit to Rangers shortly after the turn of the year, and now history has repeated itself. Fortunately, the glass bottle that was hurled onto the pitch did not come into contact with anyone, as it could have been extremely hazardous. One of the issues with the contemporary game is that the authorities do not permit supporters to bring bottle caps to their seats.

The reason for this is that the minority of incompetent individuals disrupt the experience for all, resulting in the authorities enforcing extremely stringent and draconian regulations. Arne Engels addressed the coin that was thrown at him at the time, as Celtic were awarded a corner at the conclusion of the game.
