The Buccaneers have secured the services of Lions cornerback in order to compensate for their free agency loss.

Last season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers experienced a lack of depth at cornerback, and they are now taking measures to address this issue in free agency prior to the NFL Draft. Kindle Vildor, a former Lions cornerback, was acquired by the Buccaneers in free agency,

according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Buccaneers have signed Vildor as their first cornerback, and he is the third player outside of the organisation that they have acquired this free agency. The agreement is for a veteran minimum, according to Greg Auman of FOX Sports. The Buccaneers will likely depend on Vildor to play special teams in the absence of Tavierre

Thomas, who has been traded to the Minnesota Vikings. However, Vildor is not a starting-caliber player. Vildor played in all 17 games last year, with the majority of his appearances being on special teams. However, he started two games at cornerback for Detroit. In his limited time in coverage, he made 10 unassisted tackles and defended three passes,

and he allowed a passer rating of 62.1. Last year, Pro Football Focus assigned him an overall grade of 48.3 for the season. Vildor is regrettably most renowned for a play in the 2023 NFC Championship game, in which a ball bounced off his helmet in coverage and landed in Brandon Aiyuk’s hands, resulting in a touchdown.
