celebrated as Dan Burn scored the Magpies’ first goal of the game just moments before half-time. They let out loud roars as the final whistle blew, signalling the end of the club’s 70-year domestic trophy-winning streak. Newcastle secured their first major trophy since the 1955 FA Cup final by defeating Arne Slot’s team 2-1 at the national stadium. The goals were scored by local idol Burn and in-form striker Alexander Isak.

 

 

 

 

Burn scored Newcastle’s first goal with a deflection from a distance of 15 yards, following Kieran Trippier’s corner. Thousands of Newcastle supporters, including the presenters, were ecstatic as the 6ft 5in centre back ascended to nod the ball into the bottom left corner in a spectacular display.
