The FA has acknowledged an error in the VAR system at Everton, which has given Brentford a significant advantage in the upcoming match against Newcastle United.

Thomas Frank has received a substantial advantage in preparation for Brentford’s match against Newcastle United on Saturday, December 7.

Christian Norgaard, Brentford’s captain, will be available for their match against Newcastle United next weekend following the FA’s decision to reverse his three-match suspension. During Brentford’s goalless stalemate with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday,

Norgaard was dismissed for a collision with Jordan Pickford. Although Norgaard was not initially issued a card for the incident, referee Chris Kavanagh was summoned to the pitchside observers to determine

whether the Bees player had made contact with Pickford while attempting to receive a cross. Norgaard was issued a red card and was subjected to a three-match suspension for “serious foul play” following a review by Kavanagh.

Nevertheless, the FA has announced that the Bees’ successful appeal has resulted in the reversal of his suspension.

Christian Norgaard will be available for Brentford’s next three matches following a successful claim of unlawful dismissal, according to a statement released by the governing body.

Norgaard will be eligible for Brentford’s match against Leicester City at the weekend, as well as their midweek match against Aston Villa, before they host Newcastle United at the Gtech Community Stadium.

The 30-year-old, who transferred to Brentford from Fiorentina in 2019, has appeared in ten of the Bees’ 12 Premier League matches this season. He was unable to participate in the other two due to injury.
