The initial summer signing for Manchester United has been approved after the star has expressed his willingness to join, despite the absence of European football.
A star player at Manchester United, valued at €40m/£33.2m, is prepared to join the club, despite the absence of European football next season. According to a report, the Red Devils are planning to pre-agree on a deal in advance of his immediate arrival when the summer window opens. In order for Ruben Amorim to have a viable opportunity at Old Trafford,
Manchester United must provide the Portuguese with a squad of players that are more compatible with his system. Patrick Dorgu was the sole first-team arrival to join during the winter window, which ultimately proved to be relatively quiet. Another wing-back for Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation is on the agenda, as the team is currently seeking additions in multiple positions for the summer.
David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano are among the numerous sources that have confirmed Manchester United’s intention to sign Geovany Quenda. Amorim’s final months in Lisbon saw him play at right wing-back, but the 17-year-old left-footer is capable of operating up and down either flank.
And according to a recent update from GiveMeSport, Quenda will agree to reunite with Amorim in Manchester, even if United do not qualify for any form of European football next season. The Red Devils are currently ranked 15th in the Premier League table.
It appears that their sole opportunity to secure European football for the upcoming season is to win either the FA Cup or Europa League. United would be eligible to participate in the Europa League the following year if they were to win the FA Cup.
Man Utd would qualify for the Champions League in the following year’s competition by winning the Europa League. However, according to the report, Quenda has already made up his mind and is “open to completing the move” even if Man Utd do not have European football next term.
Man Utd intends to pre-arrange the transfer of Geovany Quenda. Quenda’s contract with Sporting includes a substantial €100 million release clause. However, Ben Jacobs, a reliable reporter, has asserted that United have already verbally agreed to personal terms with the teenager. In his opinion, a deal can be reached for a significantly reduced price.
