Arsenal
The main reason Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta shouted at Oleksandr Zinchenko during Arsenal vs Aston Villa match (0-2)
Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Jesus, and Mikel Arteta are all in the parts of Arsenal’s game against Aston Villa that were not shown.
When Arsenal lost at home to Aston Villa, it hurt their chances of winning the title a lot. Having seen Liverpool lose points, they had the chance to take charge of the Premier League race, but now Manchester City is in charge.
There were a lot of chances in the game, but it was frustrating that no one could score. Youri Tielemans, Ollie Watkins, and Bukayo Saka all hit the post, but goals from Leon Bailey and Watkins were enough to win the game.
Since taking over as leader after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and then Alexandre Lacazette left the club, Martin Odegaard has done a great job. He has really grown into his role as a leader and agreed with Mikel Arteta’s plan to bring his team together.
As a way to warm up, the side often does a shot action inside the ground. For one of the last activities before the final team talk, the players line up with a ball, pass it to a coach, receive it back, and play another one-two. This time, the coach moves the ball randomly to his right or left before the player shoots at the substitute goalkeeper.
As captain Odegaard went first and the other players took their shots on goal, Odegaard went up to each player and shook their hand, gave them a high five, and hugged them. A nice way to end the lesson before the game started.
The players got tired as the game went into the last quarter. Villa was making progress, and Arteta saw that the Arsenal back line needed to stay organized.
At the 70-minute mark, Oleksandr Zinchenko was slow to push up to meet the rest of his back four. When the Spanish player on the sidelines saw this, he quickly yelled at the Ukrainian to pay more attention.
Following Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich, there was a lot of talk about two possible penalties on both ends of the match. Gabriel Magalhaes was said to have handballed in the box when Raya kicked the ball to him, and he picked it up to take the goal kick again.
The Bayern players didn’t understand why the judge didn’t give it. But after a few days, the Brazilian was back at it with the goal kicks against Villa.
It’s unclear if Gabriel touched the ball again to work through the goal-kick process with his goalkeeper for irony’s sake. Bayern will ask him if he’s joking if they see that back.
