The main reason why 26-year-old Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is delaying leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer

This summer, the Gunners goalie wants to get away from Emirates Stadium.

There are only 11 days left in the transfer window, but Arsenal still have a lot to do.

The Gunners have already strengthened their defense by signing Riccardo Calafiori, and they want to find a way to improve their center by signing Mikel Merino. There is also hope that a forward with a lot of different skills can be added before the month of August ends.

The goalkeeper spot is another one where Arsenal is expected to be active. Of course, they did business in this area earlier this summer. The loan move of David Raya from Brentford was made permanent for £27 million, and the Spanish player has become the first choice at the Emirates Stadium. But after him, there is less confidence.

Following Raya’s promotion, Aaron Ramsdale is eager to find a new home outside of north London. This has been a little harder than expected, though.

Arsenal wants to make the England international a regular player and wants to get back as much of the almost £30 million fee they paid for him as they can. The 26-year-old’s deal was extended for a lot of money last year, so it will be hard for the Gunners to get him now because few teams are willing to pay such a big amount on top of his big salary.

It would be better to do a loan deal, and Ajax and Southampton are thought to have shown interest. As things stand, though, Arsenal is still adamant that they want a final move.

If Ramsdale does decide to leave, they would have to look elsewhere, which is one reason for this. Karl Hein is now on loan at Real Valladolid for the rest of the season. However, the Estonian played in all of Arsenal’s pre-season games in the United States. He was told that he could go on loan before signing a new deal earlier this summer.

This means that Tommy Setford is the third-choice goalie right now. The 18-year-old was brought in from Ajax this summer and will work with the first team all season. Setford has never played in a senior game, though, so they will need someone with more experience to fill in.

Earlier in the window, Arsenal made an offer of £50,000 for Dan Bentley. The goalkeeper for Wolves has worked with Inaki Cana before, and Arsenal would be adding a native player to their team. At the time this was written, there had been no second bid.

Spain’s Joan Garcia is another player that Arsenal has looked at. Garcia, who is 23 years old, would fit in with the Gunners’ approach of signing younger players. But on Thursday, the Spaniard’s release option went up to £25.7 million. This is like any other La Liga release clause: the full amount would have to be paid. This would make it hard to make a final deal this summer, since Arsenal wants to run their business in a way that doesn’t harm the environment.
