Manchester City
The Manchester City right-back has issued a statement in response to the confirmation of his new club due to the transfer decision.
Manchester City have successfully concluded their initial transaction in the January transfer window by securing a new club for on-loan defender Issa Kabore.
Right-back Kabore’s prospects were high when he relocated to Benfica in the summer, following his impressive performances at Marseille and Luton in recent seasons. He had previously been named to the bench for two of City’s matches at the outset of the season.
Nevertheless, the Burkina Faso international encountered difficulty in securing matches in Portugal, and it was immediately evident that a new loan would be advantageous for all parties. City recalled Kabore at the beginning of the month in accordance with the terms of his season-long loan.
He has since been sent back out, with Werder Bremen successfully competing for his signature.Kabore issued a statement upon his departure from Benfica, expressing his gratitude to the entire city of Lisbon for their open arms. I am grateful to Benfica, the fans, and my colleagues. I was elated to have been present at your side.
May God provide you with the guidance necessary to accomplish your objectives. Upon his arrival at Bremen, Kabore expressed his enthusiasm for the Bundesliga and his new responsibilities: “I am eager to begin my new journey at Werder.” Werder has enjoyed an exceptionally successful season thus far.
I am eager to contribute to the continuation of the campaign’s successful first half and to gain a better understanding of the city, the supporters, and the club. Kabore is under contract at the Etihad until 2027, and City did not contemplate recalling him to provide assistance to their first team squad.
