Following the victory over Preston and prior to the Premier League match against Newcastle, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be anxious to receive

additional encouraging injury updates. With Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri, and Kai Havertz all scoring, the Gunners advanced past the Championship team to secure a place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. Jurrien Timber was selected as the starting right-back in place of Ben White, who was granted a night off after only recently recovering from an injury. This was despite the fact that Timber had been hobbled off during the match against Liverpool. Gabriel Magalhaes was also absent from the matchday squad that departed for Deepdale due to an injury sustained during the 2-2 draw.

Ben White White was not included in the matchday squad for the journey to Preston after making his third consecutive start against Liverpool. What Arteta has indicated: “He was struggling at the end of the match so he wasn’t available for tonight’s game.” Newcastle (A) – Saturday, November 2 is a potential return date. Jurrien Timber Injury: Unknown. Timber, like Saka, was introduced against Liverpool; however, he was substituted prior to the conclusion of the game. He appeared to collapse due to cramps prior to continuing his game. Miles Lewis-Skelly replaced Timber in the second half, and that did not last long. The Netherlands international was included in the starting XI to face Preston following Arteta’s update. What Arteta has stated: “Jurrien was just fine.” He was unable to continue playing the game due to exhaustion. There is no injury present. Potential return date: Returned Martin Odegaard Ankle injury.
