The player has attained a preliminary agreement to join Manchester United in the forthcoming days; however, the initial loan request requires resolution.
Yesterday, Manchester United engaged in discussions with Lecce regarding their pursuit of Patrick Dorgu. The president of the Italian club, Sticchi Damiani, has confirmed that discussions occurred, indicating that the meeting was quite ‘cordial’ and that Lecce is honoured by the interest expressed by the Red Devils in their talent.
Corrie de Sport, as conveyed by PianetaLecce, now reports that Dorgu’s representatives have established a ‘preliminary agreement’ for a transfer to Old Trafford, suggesting that personal circumstances are anticipated to pose no difficulties.
During the meeting yesterday, Manchester United extended an offer amounting to €30 million, accompanied by prospective bonuses of €5 million; however, this proposal is deemed insufficient by Lecce.
The Italian club is seeking a transfer fee that approaches €40 million and, in addition, they wish to retain the player on loan at their institution until the conclusion of the current season, contingent upon Manchester United’s acquisition of Dorgu in January.
It is likely that Lecce has not recently reviewed the Premier League standings and is consequently unaware that Manchester United is urgently seeking an individual who can integrate into the system envisioned by Ruben Amorim.
