The Premier League has made an official judgment regarding Newcastle United’s match against Spurs in response to Eddie Howe’s complaint against Liverpool.

The match officials for the match between Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday have been confirmed by the Premier League.

Newcastle is seeking their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions when they visit Spurs in the early kick-off in North London. Andy Madley will serve as the referee for the match.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle team was held to a 3-3 draw with Liverpool at St James’ Park just one month ago, during which Madley served as the referee. The match resulted in supporters of both teams feeling aggrieved by the officiating, as they were denied potential penalties.

In an off-the-ball incident within the penalty area, Virgil van Dijk collided with Anthony Gordon with his elbow, causing the Newcastle winger to fall.

Liverpool believed that a penalty should have been awarded for a challenge by Sean Longstaff on Luis Diaz; however, Madley ultimately rejected the appeals.

Liverpool also had a penalty claim after Alexis MacAllister’s strike struck Dan Burn’s forearm; however, the Newcastle defender’s arm was determined to be in a natural position in close proximity to his body.
