The reason unfolded why Manchester City 27-year-old defender Ruben Dias and John Stones are missing from Man City squad vs Bournemouth
Three wounded Manchester City players came back, but two more were hurt at Bournemouth in the Premier League.
Manchester City got three players back for their game against Bournemouth, but they lost two more.
Due to a knee injury, Kyle Walker has not played since the international break. However, he is now healthy enough to start for City at the Vitality Stadium. On Wednesday, Pep Guardiola said that they couldn’t afford to rest Rico Lewis. He does get a spot on the bench.
Lewis is back on the bench with Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku, who both came back from injuries. Savinho is also there after getting hurt last week. After having trouble at Spurs, Josko Gvardiol and Manu Akanji are ready to play.
But John Stones and Ruben Dias did not go to the game with the team. Dias only played for half of the game against Spurs, and Guardiola said he was having trouble. Stones, on the other hand, played the whole game.
Guardiola said before the game, “They are out for a little bit of a long time,” but City’s official site didn’t say anything about the two. Neither player’s injury nor when they would be back was explained.
Along with Dias and Stones, the team left out Jack Grealish, Rodri, and Oscar Bobb. Savinho was taken off on a bed at Spurs, but Guardiola said he didn’t break any bones and that he was fine to go to Bournemouth.
