The Scottish Premiership manager has issued a positive assessment of Celtic following Leipzig’s “excellent” victory.

Celtic’s remarkable 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League garnered them admirers throughout Europe earlier this week. The Bhoys entered the match with the intention of making a statement that would increase their chances of securing qualification to the next phase under Brendan Rodgers.

Ultimately, Celtic emerged victorious over Leipzig on a night when Parkhead was at its most dazzling on the European stage, accumulating seven points from four Champions League matches. Nicolas Kuhn was the most exceptional Celtic player of the evening, while Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate executed a masterful midfield performance to secure three points. The Bhoys’ collective performance against Marco Rose’s team was exceptional, and their performance was not limited to Hoops enthusiasts; it impressed a wide range of individuals.

Neil Critchley’s endorsement of Celtic following their victory in Leipzig Neil Critchley expressed his enthusiasm for Celtic’s performance against the Bundesliga’s second-placed team in an interview prior to Heart of Midlothian’s Europa Conference League match against Heidenheim. According to PLZ Soccer, he stated,

“I observed that match last night, and Celtic were quite impressive.” I found the game to be quite entertaining.Celtic earned their victory last night; I found them to be exceptional. I am optimistic that we will be the next Scottish team to triumph over German opposition. Although Celtic is the primary concern, the Bhoys’ victory in Europe is also advantageous for the Scottish Premiership as a whole, as it has illuminated the sport north of the boundary in a positive light. Celtic are currently preparing for their visit to Rugby Park.

Celtic’s subsequent destination is Rugby Park, where Rodgers and his team will be resolute in their attempt to preserve their unblemished Scottish Premiership record against Derek McInnes and his Kilmarnock team on Sunday. It is conceivable that the Bhoys may require a victory to secure their position at the summit of the league standings if Aberdeen secures a victory over Dundee on Saturday evening.
