“There was something that I believe I read the other day” – 31 years-old player Dan Burn laugh out loud when he read something new about Anthony Gordon
The number that Dan Burn shared about Anthony Gordon surprised him for a moment because he had just praised his Newcastle United partner for how he has stepped up this season.
Burn talked about how the under-21 European Championships in the summer seemed to change everything for the 22-year-old on The Monday Night Club.
With his play this season, Anthony Gordon has shown a lot of people they were wrong. Eddie Howe did not rush the young player in the months after he arrived from Everton in January for a lot of money.
Dan Burn talks about something that surprised him about Anthony Gordon.
Since the beginning of the season, he has found a new gear. In the Premier League, Gordon has scored six goals and set up five others. And it was his goal that helped the Magpies beat Manchester United over the weekend.
Gordon has many fans, and it’s not just because he scores goals and sets up others. Dan Burn praised the kid for how well he’s done this season and said that he works so hard for the team.
“The Euros did great things for him. He’s already a confident kid, but those things plus the fact that he was on fire during preseason made it even better.” When he got back, he looked so good. He was probably just getting what his boss wanted from him. “Now he knows what to do in everything he does,” he told The Monday Night Club.
“I was surprised to read the other day that he had the most tackles for our team.” And it’s not really a surprise when you watch him play.
