Manchester City
“There’s a lot of big players.” English professional football manager Michael Bridges delivers his verdict on who will win the Community Shield match between Manchester City against Manchester United
This coming weekend, Manchester City will play their last game before the 2024–25 Premier League season starts.
City will play Manchester United at Wembley Stadium again on Saturday in the Community Shield. The game is led by Pep Guardiola.
Manchester City played Chelsea in the FA Cup final at the end of the 2023–24 season. City lost 2-1.
The next match between these two Manchester clubs is coming up soon, and already one expert has made a guess about it.
Michael Bridges gives his prediction for Community Shield
If you watch a new movie on the Optus Sport YouTube channel, Michael Bridges talks about the Community Shield and how he thinks it could go for both Manchester teams.
He said, “The FA Cup final was probably the game that kept Erik Ten Hag in his job because the way he coached them to a 1-0 win over Manchester City was probably the first time I thought, WTF? This guy knows what he’s doing or has been able to show it.”
“That means he has another chance to surprise everyone.”
“Manchester United has a lot of big players out for one reason or another, but why not? It’s just one game, anything could happen, and they have a chance.”
“But after seeing Manchester City in preseason and [Erling] Haaland in a bad mood, I don’t think they have much hope.”
The Prediction I’m going with Manchester United 1-3 Manchester City.
