Three important things must be done for Real Madrid to get Kylian Mbappe instead of Liverpool.

Every year around this time, Kylian Mbappe’s future takes center stage in talk about transfers leading up to the summer.

The 25-year-old player was supposed to sign with Real Madrid instead of Paris Saint-Germain in 2022, but he changed his mind and signed a new deal with the French team.

Even so, Mbappe has been linked with the big Spanish teams, and he might finally be on his way to the Bernabeu.

The striker signed a deal with PSG in 2022, and the third and final year is optional. If he decides to leave this summer, PSG will not get any money from him.

Reports say that the French World Cup winner wants a salary of about £43 million a year. If he gets it, he will be one of the best paid players in the world. Also, Mbappe wants a €120 million (£105 million) signing bonus.

Finally, the shooter is said to want to keep more of his image rights than Real Madrid usually gives their stars. The big teams in Europe usually take 50% of the image rights of their new signings, but Mpabbe is said to want to keep 60% for himself.

Cadena SER says that PSG is going to offer Mbappe a huge deal worth £61.5 million a year, which is the same as his present deal, plus a bonus of €130 million (£111 million).

As part of his present deal with PSG, Mbappe has to tell club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi before anyone else if he wants to leave. He will also miss out on a €80 million loyalty bonus.

For Liverpool to have any chance of getting Mbappe to move to Anfield, they will have to spend a lot of money.
