It is said that Cristiano Ronaldo sent Ralf Rangnick a mean message while they were both working at Manchester United.

When Ronaldo chose to leave Juventus in August 2021, he did so to make a sensational return to United, who were managed at the time by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

In his second stint at the club, Ronaldo scored 27 goals in 54 games across all forms of play.

But things started to go badly for him in his second stint at Old Trafford when Solskjaer was relieved temporarily by Rangnick.

It was said that Ronaldo and Rangnick talked about how much time the Portuguese player gets to play at United.

Four of the five games would be played, according to BILD. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner told Rangnick that he would not be available on the bench for the sixth game.

Ronaldo reportedly told Rangnick that he could pick which game to leave him out of, but he insisted that he would watch the game at home instead of on the bench.

Finally, Erik ten Hag took over for Rangnick, which caused Ronaldo to leave in November 2022.

Before he left, Ronaldo gave an explosive interview in which he said many bad things about Ten Hag, United, and his old friends.

He said this about Rangnick: “I don’t know what’s going on, but I haven’t seen any progress in the club since Sir Alex Ferguson left.

We have an interesting point about how Manchester United hired Rangnick as their new sports director after firing Ole, which no one seems to understand.

He also said, “This guy isn’t even a coach.” It shocked everyone that a bigger club like Manchester United would hire a sports director.

“Yes, that’s what I think. To be honest, how can you be the manager of Manchester United if you’re not even a coach? That’s something that I should say Manchester doesn’t do.”
