Two Celtic FC player Kasper Schmeichel and Nicolas Kuhn sends out a strong message to Celtic after Kilmarnock victory
After a comfortable win over Kilmarnock yesterday, Celtic players are feeling good about the rest of the season.
An overwhelming number of fans arrived at Parkhead and were not disappointed. The Bhoys put on a show in Glasgow’s east end, a stylish performance that ended with a 4-0 win for the hosts.
Celtic set the tone with a strong performance against the Ayrshire team, and the two men were quick to post about how much they enjoyed it on Instagram.
Celtic fans love Kasper Schmeichel.
Schmeichel was without a doubt Celtic’s most well-known signing so far, and after his strong pre-season, many people were looking forward to seeing how he did against Kilmarnock.
The 37-year-old lived up to his name by playing solidly between the posts and giving Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales the chance to take the lead when the ball was theirs.
“Couldn’t have asked for a better debut,” he wrote in the caption of his most recent Instagram post to show how grateful he is for the support. “Thanks for the wonderful welcome.”
Like how the Celtic fans treated him, you get the sense that this is just the beginning for Schmeichel at Parkhead.
If that’s how he feels after Flag Day, just think how he’ll feel after seeing Champions League games and the Glasgow Derby in the east end of Glasgow. He will definitely enjoy his time here!
Nicolas Kuhn responds to a strong performance against Kilmarnock
After not being able to secure a regular starting spot last season, German winger Kuhn came into this season with a point to make. However, any Celtic fan you talk to will agree that he looks like he has the bit between his teeth.
Yesterday, his goal got a lot of attention, but the former Rapid Vienna player also had a great game thanks to his willingness to create chances and high level of ball control.
In an Instagram post, Kuhn included pictures of himself celebrating his class goal with Matt O’Riley and Kyogo Furuhashi. The post had the words “good start of the season” and a dance emoji.
So far, Kuhn has a great chance to become an important player for Celtic this season. The right flank spot is still open.
He was a big deal when he joined the club in January, and we hope he can get some playing time and show why he was picked up.
