Two Newcastle United players Anthony Gordon & Sven Botman react to Alexander Isak leaving Newcastle United to join Liverpool with a strong message

Alexander Isak’s former colleagues have responded to the striker’s Premier League record transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool, which totaled £130 million.
Isak’s departure from Newcastle after three years at the club marked the culmination of the summer transfer saga on deadline day.

The striker was able to effectively negotiate a transfer from St James’ Park by going on strike, declining to participate in games, and releasing a social media statement that reiterated his desire to depart.

Isak, who was regarded as a hero by Newcastle supporters just months ago when he scored the winning goal in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool, is now arguably the most despised player in the club’s recent history.

Additionally, the club’s own disdain could be perceived. The club’s brief statement confirming Isak’s departure was spiky and neglected to reference the player’s achievements, goals, or thank him for his service. Eddie Howe has not spoken to Isak since the beginning of the season.

Newcastle United’s statement clarifies Alexander Isak’s sentiments.
The sale of Alexander Isak to Liverpool for a substantial British record transfer fee was confirmed by Newcastle United in a brief statement.

“The Sweden international joined the Magpies from Real Sociedad in 2022 and made 109 appearances in all competitions.”

It encapsulates the legacy that Isak has left behind at Newcastle, a legacy that is in ruins despite his 62 goals, which have helped the club qualify for the Champions League twice and end a 70-year trophy drought.

Newcastle was without an established striker for the first three games of the Premier League season as a result of Isak’s behavior, which is believed to have incensed some of his former teammates.

However, Newcastle’s other players have been more understanding of his circumstances than others. Additionally, a cursory examination of social media platforms provides some insight into the identities of these participants.

Isak expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to join Liverpool on Instagram, stating, “It is a privilege and an honor to be a part of this extraordinary club @liverpoolfc.” A day of great pride for my family and me. I am eager to commence and see you all in the near future, Reds! YNWA.

Anthony Gordon, a Newcastle winger and lifelong Liverpool fan, liked the post. Gordon had been carrying the line in Isak’s absence before being sent off against The Reds.

Gordon also posted a message that stated, “Regardless of the circumstances and the events that have transpired.” It has been an absolute delight to engage in a game with you. One of the most exceptional chemistries I have encountered on the pitch, and more significantly, a remarkable individual and teammate. I hope that you have the greatest possible life, my brother.

In addition to the current Newcastle first-team players, including Emil Krafth, Joe Willock, and Sven Botman, Sean Longstaff, who departed Newcastle in the summer to join Leeds United, is also interested in the position.
