Rangers F.C. banked €20.7m from Europa League run
UEFA has confirmed that Rangers earned €20,705,000 (around £18 million) from their Europa League campaign last season, following a run to the quarter-finals.
After missing out on the Champions League at the qualifying stage to FC Dynamo Kyiv, Philippe Clement’s side entered the Europa League’s new-format League Phase. Rangers faced eight different opponents between September 2024 and January 2025 before advancing to the knockout rounds.

The total figure combines several revenue streams under UEFA’s distribution model, including:

-
League Phase participation and ranking bonuses
-
Round of 16 bonus
-
Quarter-final bonus
The figures were published in UEFA’s 2024/25 financial report.
Key results on the road
One of the standout performances came in a 4-1 away victory over OGC Nice in France. Rangers also faced English opposition in back-to-back fixtures against Tottenham Hotspur F.C. and Manchester United F.C., taking a point from the clash with Spurs.
They sealed automatic progression to the Round of 16 with a 2-1 win over Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, avoiding the play-off round thanks to their league-phase finish.
In the last 16, Rangers overcame Fenerbahce S.K., managed by Jose Mourinho, before bowing out in the quarter-finals to Athletic Club. A 0-0 draw at Ibrox was followed by a 2-0 defeat in the second leg in Spain.
Despite the disappointment of falling short of the semi-finals, the European run delivered both prestige and a significant financial boost for the Ibrox club.
