“Unbelievable” – Scottish Premiership club Celtic player James Forrest delivers his verdict on the rumours of his transfer out of the club

James Forrest, a winger for Celtic, is a real hero at Parkhead. He has only ever played for one club, but he made more history by winning another Scottish Premiership medal.

With 23 trophies, the 32-year-old is now tied with Billy McNeill for second place as the club’s most decorated player. Bobby Lennox holds the record with 24 medals.

Forrest could add the Scottish Cup to his list of accomplishments this weekend if Celtic beat Rangers at Hampden. That would be the end of a great season for Brendan Rodgers.

Still, things haven’t always gone smoothly for the Scotland international. During the January transfer window, there were rumors that the Hoops would be “open to offers” for his services. At the same time, Cardiff City was mentioned as a possible location for the veteran.

Even so, his late-season comeback has been amazing. He has scored seven goals and set up two others in 27 games [Transfermarkt].

Now, Forrest has put an end to the rumors that were going around about his name earlier this year and his plans to finish the campaign strong.

What James Forrest said about rumors about his future
According to The Daily Record, Forrest talked about the rumors that he was leaving Celtic and said that his main goal had always been to get back into Brendan Rodgers’ team.

He said, “I did talk to the manager a few times, and it was mostly about getting that chance.” It does happen sometimes, and I’ve been able to seize it. Celtic has always been my favorite team, and I love scoring goals here.

“It’s crazy, but I wanted to play when I was that age.” I’m not 36 or 35 years old. I talked with the club about it, but I was glad when the window closed and that was out of the way.

“I planned to be here and work hard in the hopes of getting a chance.” Sure, you never know how things will go, but this has been crazy. What a great few months it’s been for me. We hope that the final goes well too.

Even after many years, James Forrest is still helping Celtic.
There may have been rumors about Forrest in January, but he is one of the most loyal employees the club has had recently, making the idea of him leaving for another team almost impossible to imagine.

The 32-year-old has once again shown how valuable he is by playing a key role in Celtic’s win of the Scottish Premiership title. He has used all of his knowledge to help Rodgers’ team sprint across the finish line.
