Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nassr, turned back time with a crazy overhead goal try against Al-Hilal in the Saudi King’s Cup final on May 31. In the 46th minute, the Knights of Najd were down 1-0 when they made the play.
The new Saudi Pro League winners scored the first goal in the seventh minute of a thrilling title match in Jeddah thanks to Aleksandar Mitrovic. Al-Hilal’s defense blocked Ronaldo’s amazing effort, but the ball hit the post and was cleared off the goal. The effort made people think of Ronaldo’s amazing goal in the first game of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Juventus in 2017–18, which Real Madrid won 3-0.
It is important to remember that Luis Castro’s team came in second in the league, 14 points behind the clear winners, Al-Hilal. Al-Hilal won all 34 games they played and never lost.
