Despite the fact that United won the match at Old Trafford by a score of 2-1, Chelsea was absolutely outplayed by United. At home, the Toffees defeated the high-flying Newcastle United by a score of 3-0 on Thursday night. This victory allowed the Toffees to move out of the relegation zone just a few weeks after the Premier League removed 10 points from their total.
