Eddie Howe is going to stay at Newcastle United, and the club’s CEO, Darren Eales, is very happy about it. The head coach is getting ready to work with Paul Mitchell and James Bunce.
The CEO of Newcastle United, Darren Eales, called Eddie Howe a “amazing coach.” Lee Carsley is expected to be chosen by England to be the next head of the FA.
Carsley, who used to play for the Republic of Ireland and Everton, is likely to be temporarily promoted from the Under-21 job. All of that is good news for Newcastle. Howe reaffirmed his pledge, and Eales was glad to see the former AFC Bournemouth manager ready for the big game.
Eales told Chronicle Live, “It’s clear that Eddie is a great coach, and our team has a lot of great players.”
“We’re upset that we didn’t make it to Europe last year, but now you have to ask, ‘What’s the good thing about that?'” Eddie really has a chance to set up the team when he doesn’t have to play in Europe for a week at a time. We can really go for the league and local cups and see how far we can get.
But Eales said that he knows that things are never easy in football, based on what has happened in the past year AND in general terms.
“I’m not naive, and I know that the next shock could happen tomorrow,” he said. “But that’s the great thing about our job.” It’s like being on a roller coaster, with highs and lows. I’d like to think that the way we tried to measure it was by how much better we are off the field each season.
