Carlton Palmer thinks that West Brom should do everything they can to permanently sign Mikey Johnston from Celtic.

After Mikey Johnston’s great start on loan from Celtic, Carlton Palmer thinks that his old team, West Brom, should do everything they can to bring him back permanently.

Mikey Johnston does a great job for West Brom.

The team led by Carlos Corberan has only lost one of their last eight games, which has helped them secure fifth place and make it to the playoffs this season.

And Johnston has been a big part of that. The winger joined on loan from Celtic at the end of January.

That didn’t take long for the 24-year-old to settle in. His great long-range goal against QPR last week was his fourth in eight games for Albion. Along with his great goals, Johnston has always been a threat on the wings because of how fast he is and how well he can dribble the ball.

Because of this, fans are already hoping that a deal can be made with Celtic in the summer that will make the move permanent.

The Irish player is under contract with the Glasgow giants until 2026, but he was allowed to leave this season even though they are having a bad run, which shows that Brendan Rodgers does not want him there.

A lot of people like Mikey Johnston, says Carlton Palmer.
Some people are wondering why Celtic let him go since their wide players haven’t been very good this season.

But Palmer told FLW that Johnston needed to change clubs because he made it clear that the Baggies should do everything they can to sign him forever.

I’m not surprised that Celtic let him go on loan. The football club has a lot of players, so some had to go out and play, which is what happens.

“If you want a player to go on loan and do well, Mikey Johnston has done that.” He has been amazing under Carlos Corberan, and West Brom is doing amazingly well to be in the play-off spots. Finishing in the top six would be a great accomplishment.

“Johnston is still under contract with Celtic, but talks will happen at the end of the season.” I believe West Brom should try to make him a regular member of the team.

“He has become a fan favorite, and now that Shilen Patel is in charge, hopefully the manager will be able to bring in players this summer so that West Brom can be in or near the automatic promotion spots next season, even if they don’t make it this year.” And Johnston is a player that fans would love to see move to the football club.

It’s not possible that Johnston’s future will be decided until the summer. For now, he will only be focused on getting Albion to the Premier League.

Corberan’s team plays Huddersfield Town again on Sunday, and Johnston is likely to start because he wants to keep up his great form.
