What Celtic Fc must do to win the Scottish Premier League title and trophy
Celtic’s journey to Fir Park on Sunday to play Motherwell is part of their race for the Scottish Premiership title.
After losing to Kilmarnock at home, Brendan Rodgers’ team has something to show in the latest round of games. It will be interesting to see if the Irish manager makes any changes in North Lanarkshire.
For the Bhoys, Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah have started the last couple of games as a two-man attack. It’s still unclear whether they will continue to do so this time.
Because Motherwell played tougher when Stuart Kettlewell was in charge, Rodgers might get some extra help in the engine room from Paulo Bernardo if he goes back to a more familiar form.
Any player who wants to do well at Celtic needs to be able to handle pressure. Now it’s up to the group that’s available to show why they shouldn’t be written off by some football fans.
The way they played against Kilmarnock last weekend was terrible, but they still have 36 points to earn to beat their rivals.
Having a “siege mentality” should be the motto from now until the end of May, when a domestic double could arrive at Parkhead.
Marc Rieper says Celtic shouldn’t give in to a “costly” situation.
Marc Rieper, a former Celtic star, doesn’t think that the Bhoys should only focus on their two upcoming derby games against Rangers.
“Winning the Old Firm derbies only gets you so far,” Rieper told the Daily Record. It’s clear that fans want them, so it’s important to get them. But it doesn’t promise anything.
“If you don’t get most of the points in the derby, it’s very important that you get almost all of them in the other games.” That’s where we did better than the Rangers that season, when we stopped 10 straight. We only won one game against them. We still won the league, though.
He later said, “The fact that Celtic hadn’t won the league in nine years was really wearing us down because we had to stop Rangers from making it ten wins in a row.” Thanks to good luck, it worked out, and let’s hope they can get back on top before the end of the season again.
“But they need to win every game they still have. That’s very important.” Not just the games. It can be just as expensive to lose to a weaker team.
Marc Rieper has pointed out Celtic’s biggest problem: they’ve dropped points seven times this season, which isn’t good for a team that wants to win the league title.
Those things, on the other hand, are the past. What matters now is Rodgers’ first season back at Parkhead, and he wants it to be a success.
The biggest problem for the Bhoys right now is that they can’t see wins through in games they should have won. However, we can still fix this in the last few games.
