The ‘FPL’ notion has emerged as a result of the VAR officials’ observations during the Arsenal vs.

Liverpool game.During the match between Arsenal and Liverpool on Sunday, fans believed they had observed the Fantasy Premier League app on a mobile phone in the VAR booth.(Image: Twitter: @TheSportsman) Rumors that a mobile phone was utilized to verify Fantasy Premier League in the VAR booth during the 2-2 draw between Liverpool and Arsenal on Sunday have been disregarded as unfounded. The VAR operators for the match at the Emirates Stadium were Michael Salisbury and Darren Cann. The Reds maintained their impressive start to the Premier League season by coming from behind twice, thanks to goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah during the match. In North London, Anthony Taylor, the individual in the middle, had a relatively uneventful afternoon. He managed to complete the entire 90 minutes without utilizing the pitch-side VAR monitor. Nevertheless, the most contentious moment of the match was perhaps when a supporter took to X to assert that one of the VAR operators was “checking” his Fantasy Premier League app during the first half of the match at the Emirates. However, ESPN’s Dale Johnson promptly refuted that assertion, clarifying that the application that bore a striking resemblance to FPL was, in fact, the Premier League Match Manager app. Additionally, he disclosed that personal devices are prohibited within the VAR office at Stockley Park.

Following Ibrahima Konate’s unrelenting challenge to Kai Havertz within the vicinity, the image was revealed. The Frenchman was declared to have made contact with the ball by referee Taylor, a determination that was subsequently corroborated by Salisbury and Cann on VAR.
