“World class” – John Hartson describes where Adam Idah may learn from Kyogo Furuhashi at Celtic.

Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah are the primary competitors for the striking positions at Celtic, as they compete on a weekly basis to impress Brendan Rodgers.

The former has been the primary starter for the majority of this campaign, contributing eight goals and three assists in 21 appearances across all competitions. However, Adam Idah has appeared in 22 matches for the Bhoys and has scored eight goals and provided one assist.

This may come as a surprise to some supporters.Upon reviewing the competition, Brendan Rodgers declared that he has two Celtic attackers who are currently engaged in a fierce competition.

Johnny Kenny is expected to be granted a senior opportunity at Parkhead upon his return from Shamrock Rovers, potentially transforming the duo into a triumvirate.

It is worth noting that John Hartson has been a Celtic player since the turn of the century and has a wealth of knowledge on how to score goals. He has also provided some insightful advice on how Idah can continue to thrive at the club.

John Hartson on the lessons that Adam Idah can learn from Kyogo Furuhashi According to Hartson, Idah could benefit significantly from Furuhashi’s “world-class” mobility, which he frequently exhibits at Celtic, in an interview with Off The Ball.

He clarified, “I am not going to suggest that he is a viable alternative, as he has initiated a number of games and is likely to continue doing so.” The two strikers that Celtic possess are entirely distinct; they are a distinct breed of player.

“They both possess unique qualities and engage in distinct activities.” Idah, on the other hand, is significantly more tangible. He is capable of running in-behind, is forceful, and can hold the ball up while taking you up the pitch.

This is a valuable asset, and he has done so exceptionally well.I believe Celtic scored nine goals in 18 games on loan last season. They considered his performance satisfactory enough to warrant his recall to Norwich for a permanent contract.

I believe the price was £9 million. While this may seem substantial in light of the current market inflation, it is a reasonable price for a player who has previously performed well for Celtic.

“He is competing against an individual such as Kyogo, who has been with the club for a significantly longer period, has played in a significantly greater number of European games, and has scored goals in Europe.” Scored goals in the Old Firm contests and provides a unique perspective.

“Kyogo is a player of the highest caliber; he is truly world-class.” During the weekend, his objective was virtually impossible.

He is a fox in the box, and his movement is exceptional. He dashes across the defensive line. I believe that Idah has the potential to learn from Kyogo in terms of his movement.

However, he may need to be patient in order to secure a regular berth. Celtic have two optimal striking options to alternate between. Celtic has the ability to interweave it through or hold it up when necessary through the middle in an ideal fashion.

Furuhashi’s diminutive dimensions and aptitude for stretching backlines have brought him dangerously close to becoming a Parkhead centurion on the goal front.

In the interim, Idah enables a more direct style of play when required, providing a target for players to cross passes into and work off in possession.

Both have contributed their fair share of memorable moments thus far in this campaign. Wishing them both the best of success as they continue to compete for the top striker position.
