Wrexham are reportedly preparing another high-profile January transfer, targeting a top European striker, according to Alan Nixon.
The Championship club, already the division’s biggest spenders last summer, are said to have made a discreet approach for a player attracting interest across Europe.
The proposed deal could be worth around £14 million, including promotion-related bonuses, which would shatter Wrexham’s previous transfer record of £7.5 million for Nathan Broadhead.
Under Hollywood ownership, the club’s spending has escalated rapidly, with £33 million invested during the 2025 summer window alone.
The January move signals Wrexham’s continued ambition as they push for a third successive promotion and a potential Premier League spot.
