“You can put the blame on the board” – 50 years-old Pundit Chris Sutton break silence and gave his reason why Celtic was defeated by Hearts (0-2) amid Brendan Rodgers verdict
“You can blame the board, you can blame the lack of atmosphere because the Green Brigade is not attending matches, you can blame the recruitment, but ultimately Brendan Rodgers should be doing much better with the players he has at his disposal,” Sutton said in a post that he published on social media channel X. It has been completely unremarkable during the entire season.
It is just that Sutton is echoing the booing that were heard ringing around Celtic Park as the full-time whistle rang, and the Hoops fans, much like Sutton, are very concerned about what they have been seeing from their squad in recent times.
In the aftermath of Celtic’s defeat to Hearts at Parkhead this afternoon, Chris Sutton has provided his assessment on Brendan Rodgers.
The former Celtic great did not hold back when it came to expressing his opinions regarding the kind of game that he is observing from the Celtic boss. This came after Celtic suffered a loss against Kilmarnock, which was followed by another loss against the team from the capital.
They had been going through a period of yo-yoing for the previous two months. Since their thrilling victory over Aberdeen by a score of 6-0, Celtic have just not been the same team. In the time since then, there has been no indication of that offensive aspect, which is a cause for concern.
Even the rocket that Rodgers fired at halftime in the 3-1 victory over St. Johnstone seems to have been forgotten for a long time now, as Celtic was unable to even manage any kind of fightback against Hearts.
And that is the thing that will worry the supporters the most. Even though it is a setback that they are able to accept, the way in which it occurred has caused them to ask themselves how they will be able to defeat their most formidable adversaries at the end of the month when they are unable to defeat a side that is currently in fifth place in the Scottish Premiership.
In light of the fact that many of the supporters who were under the impression that it was the ideal time for him to return could now begin to turn against him, Rodgers has a lot of work to do.
It was a jab at Paul Merson because, after Manchester United was kicked out of Europe for good on Tuesday after losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich, he was sure that the atmosphere at those grounds is “better than the one at Old Trafford.”
While Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic team beat Feyenoord 2-1, which was very important. Matt O’Riley got a lot of praise for his performance.
Newcastle United lost to AC Milan. Like the Bhoys and Manchester United, AC Milan will not be in Europe after Christmas.
The mood at Celtic Park on Champions League nights
He said, “Watching Newcastle vs. AC Milan tonight on Sky.” “There will be a better vibe at St. James’ Park than at Old Trafford last night.”
“On a Champions League night, Newcastle is right up there with Celtic Park and Anfield.”
Because of how badly Celtic has played in the Champions League this season, more money needs to be spent on new players as a possible answer.
With all the money in the English Premier League, Newcastle United and Manchester United have shown that’s not always the best way to go.
While the Magpies could feel bad about their bad luck because they were in the “death group” and some calls by the referees went against them.
No such luck for the red half of Manchester, who, despite spending a lot of money (again), were likely the worst team in Europe this season in terms of value for money.
Paul Merson said nice things about the mood at Celtic Park on Champions League nights while making fun of Manchester United.
Wednesday had a lot of important Champions League games. For Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United, their match against AC Milan was the most important because it was the last game in Group F.
Before the game, Paul Merson wrote on Twitter that the noise level at St. James’ Park is “up there” with Celtic and Liverpool at Anfield.
“Far too little for a penalty” – Reason why Celtic penalty scored by Luis Palma should have not been given during celtic vs Feyenoord match (REVEALED)
Referee Benoit Bastien told the Algerian star not to pull in the box before a home team corner kick in the first half. He also said this as Luis Palma whipped the ball in towards Scales’ head, and Zerrouki seemed to pull him down in the box. Whistler Bastien quickly called for a penalty and pointed to the spot. Honduran Palma made the kick and scored the first goal in the Group E match.
During the second half, Yankuba Minteh tied the game. In extra time, Gustaf Lagerbielke headed the ball into the goal to give the Hoops their first three points of the group stage campaign. “It’s very frustrating,” the angry Feyenoord player said about how the Dutch winners should have learned more from their game against Celtic. We played very hard, especially in the second half, going up and down the field. We had many chances. This makes me mad that we don’t take the chance.”
When asked about the penalty by RTL after the game, Zerrouki said that Scales, the Ireland captain, agreed with him and that there shouldn’t have been one: “Yes, we talk to each other sometimes.” I think it’s way too little of a punishment. At first, the official gave us a warning.
“I touched him, and he touched me.” The turn is then taken, and he hits me first. After that I touch him. I don’t think it should be a punishment because it’s way too light.
“I haven’t seen it again.” How I talk about it now is based only on how I felt during the match. Plus, the Celtic player said he didn’t think it was a penalty either.
Before Luis Palma scored the important first goal at Celtic Park, Ramiz Zerrouki tackled the center back.
Feyenoord defender Ramiz Zerrouki is furious and says Liam Scales “indicated” that Celtic’s penalty should not have been given in the Champions League match.
Away from the second-place finish against Kilmarnock, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that some players intend to depart the club in January to earn first-team opportunities.
Celtic manager Gordon Rodgers was asked about recent rumors circulating regarding Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovksi. Although he declined to comment on the 24-year-old, Rodgers did admit that the club are seeking to sell players who are not seeing action at Parkhead.
Rogers told The Scottish Sun, “I am unable to comment on a particular player.”
“At this time of year, agents discard names and connections, so it would be a lengthy six weeks if I did the same.
“However, it is certain that names appear.” Although it would be ideal to have them in sooner rather than later as a manager, we will not be playing until the middle of January due to the winter vacation.
“Efforts are also being made to activate the players who have been benched; it goes without saying that they will be eager to get started immediately.”
Brendan Rodgers may sell Celtic players in January.
It is indicative that the manager was quick to point out that only inactive players are eager to depart Celtic, and not those who are deemed unfit for the team.
Mikey Johnston, Greg Taylor, and Hyunjun Yang, to name a few, have recently garnered considerable attention due to their subpar performances. However, it appears that these athletes will not be transferred.
It is evident from the statistics that Hyeokkyu Kwon, Yuki Kobayashi, and Benjamin Siegrist will all be permitted to depart in January under Rodgers.
All three have been held scoreless in the Hoops as a group this season. There is a contention that Stephen Welsh and Marco Tilio, despite having appeared in only a few games for Celtic this season, should be granted some action, albeit insufficient to make a significant impact. Transfermarkt [Transfermarkt]
January will be a fascinating month, as it is evident from yesterday’s loss to Kilmarnock that this Celtic squad has a great deal of work to do in order to be competitive for the championship run-in.
Celtic Head coach Brendan Rodgers break silence and reveals the names of the three (3) key player that will be leaving Celtic Fc on january transfer window
Take a break from the Kilmarnock loss for a moment. Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtic, has stated that there are players who want to leave the club in January in order to play for the first team.
The Celtic manager was asked about the current interest in Bojan Miovksi, a striker from Aberdeen. He wouldn’t say anything about the 24-year-old, but Rodgers did say that the club is looking to get rid of players who aren’t getting any playing time at Parkhead.
Rogers told The Scottish Sun, “I wouldn’t say anything about a specific player.”
“Agents throw out names and links right now, so if I did it would be six weeks of hard work.”
“But there are names there for sure.” As a boss, you’d always like to get them in as soon as possible, but we don’t play again until the middle of January because of the winter break.
“The guys who haven’t been playing are also hard at work—they’ll want to get out and play as soon as possible.”
Brendan Rodgers could get rid of these Celtic players in January.
It says a lot that the boss was quick to point out that players who haven’t been playing want to leave, not players who aren’t good enough for Celtic.
All three of them have played in zero games for the Hoops this season. It could be argued that Stephen Welsh and Marco Tilio should be given some playing time even though they have already played for Celtic this season, but not enough to make a big difference. (Transfer Market)
Guys like Mikey Johnston, Hyunjun Yang, and Greg Taylor have been getting a lot of press lately for how badly they’ve been playing. But it looks like these players won’t be moving on.
It’s clear from the numbers that Rodgers will probably let Hyeokkyu Kwon, Yuki Kobayashi, and Benjamin Siegrist all leave in January.
Tomorrow’s loss to Kilmarnock made it clear that this Celtic team needs a lot of work to get better before the end of the season. It will be interesting to see how things go in January.
“undefeatable in the league” – 50 years-old Legend Chris Sutton break silence and reveals how Celtic Fc is still the best after defeating Hibernian and what Rangers should avoid this season
Chris Sutton claims that the competition for the title of Scottish Premiership champion has begun. Last night, a Sky Sports commentator issued a warning to the Ibrox club as Celtic defeated Hibs and Rangers labored against Hearts. Both of these events occurred earlier in the evening.
Celtic’s dominance against the Easter Road team allowed them to maintain their eight-point lead at the top of the league throughout the match.
In response to the warning that their manager issued over the weekend, the team managed to keep Hibs at bay with the help of a double from Hyeongyu Oh, goals from Matt O’Riley and Luis Palma, and a goal from Luis Palma.
However, as Sutton watched Rangers and Hearts fight against each other, he had this warning for his former adversaries.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Sutton stated, “During this stretch of games, they come thick and fast until the break.” It’s a tremendously significant time in the calendar for games.
Rangers need to make sure that they don’t lose any points that aren’t necessary because Celtic haven’t been playing at their very best. In the match against Aberdeen, they did lose by a large margin.
“I really believe that there is a title race going on this season,” the speaker said.
There is a very valid issue that Chris Sutton raises regarding Celtic.
The striker who formerly played for Celtic is completely spot on. Rangers will need to perform at their absolute best because Celtic is still undefeated in the league, despite the fact that their performance has not been up to the normal high standard that they have set for themselves.
In addition, Rodgers’ club has triumphed on every difficult away ground in Scotland, although Rangers have already suffered defeats at Pittodrie and Tynecastle in the past two weeks. Rodgers’ team has also won every challenging away ground in Scotland.
Due to the fact that Phillipe Clement has still to lead his squad to Motherwell and Celtic this month, the possibility of additional mistakes happening is still present. To be more specific, at Celtic Park.
The Celtic team, on the other hand, has to fight with Hearts and Livingston, both of whom are struggling, at home, as well as a difficult match away at Dundee. However, given that the team appeared to be in a positive frame of mind last night, it appears that Celtic are going to start to reverse the tide on the rest of the league.
“The major obstacle for Celtic FC’s defense unit”- Celtic head coach Brendan Rodgers warned to sign a player to solve the difficulty Celtic Fc has been facing to secure the league this january transfer window
Since the loss to Lazio, which resulted in the elimination of Brendan Rodgers’ team from the Champions League, Celtic and their transfer activity have never been out of the news.
The manager of Celtic has been quite vocal about the importance of adding more quality to the team, and there is one acquisition that radio commentator Steven Mill has advised Rodgers to make a priority in order to improve the team’s performances.
The Hoops goalkeeper, Joe Hart, appeared to be at fault for the opening goal against St. Johnstone in Celtic’s 3-1 victory in Perth. This is the second week in a row that Joe Hart has been caught flailing.
After that, Mill stated that Brendan Rodgers must now concentrate on finding a replacement for Hart if he ever hopes to advance in Europe during the upcoming season.
According to Mill, who was interviewed on The Big Scottish Football Podcast, “I said at the beginning of the Champions League campaign that Joe Hart is, in my opinion, the most significant problem for Celtic defensively.”
“Because you witnessed that once more with the goal that was scored yesterday [against St. Johnstone].
In the month of January, acquiring a goalkeeper would be at the top of my list of priorities if I were Brendan Rodgers.
On TBR Celtic, I have stated on multiple occasions that I am a major fan of the treble-winning player who is 36 years old. In recent times, however, he has been found wanting, and Celtic has already suffered losses on two occasions this season as a result of his inability to assert control over his six-yard box.
On multiple times, Hart has been the one to save Celtic, and this fact must be brought to everyone’s attention. It would have been almost certain that Rodgers would have lost points once more if he had not made that save at the very final second of the game against St. Johnstone.
Given that the 36-year-old player has not yet been presented with a new contract, it is still unclear whether he will continue to play for Celtic after this season. His current contract is set to expire at the end of May 2024.
The time that Hart spent at Celtic will, without a shadow of a doubt, be remembered with fondness forever. As a result of the fact that they would not want the memories that Hart has made over the course of the past three seasons to be shattered, the Celtics fans will be hopeful that Hart can eliminate the blunders.
Due to the fact that he is having trouble displaying Taylor from his starting position, the Argentian has only made 22 appearances for Celtic since the switch.
Under the direction of Brendan Rodgers, the 23-year-old player has only made three appearances for the green and white hoops, and he has played only 43 minutes of first-team football each time. Market for Transfers
Given the fact that the teenager continues to suffer both on and off the field, it is impossible to imagine how he will be able to build a name for himself at Celtic.
It should not come as a surprise to Celtic fans that the left-back position is one of the positions that is on the list of positions that need to be improved, given that Brendan Rodgers is considering adding more quality players to the Celtic squad in January.
Contrary to popular belief, however, it appears that the club is not seeking for someone to take the role of Greg Taylor. In June of 2022, Alexandro Bernabei became a member of Juventus. It’s Sky Sports.
Due to the fact that he is having trouble displaying Taylor from his starting position, the Argentian has only made 22 appearances for Celtic since the switch.

According to Mark Guidi, Celtic are seeking for a replacement for the player that they acquired from Lanus for a fee of 3.75 million pounds.
An interview with The Go Radio Football Show included Guidi, who stated, “They are also looking at left-backs.” In that particular domain, there is a great deal of scrutiny being applied.
“That is nothing against Greg Taylor, who has excellent value and has been brilliant at a price of two million pounds [it was three million pounds].
It won’t be easy to pass him, regardless of who they get in, if they get anyone in at all, in the following month. On the other hand, Brendan Rodgers has come to the conclusion that Bernabei is unable to exert any pressure on Greg Taylor.
There is a need to exert pressure on Greg Taylor, and Bernabei is not the person to go about doing that.
What Brendan Rodgers thinks about Alexandro Bernabei’s performance at Celtic
Within the current season, the Argentine has already been subjected to the punishment that the Celtic boss has been enforcing. After sleeping in for a team meeting, Bernabei was not included in the matchday squad for Celtic’s match against Ross County. Bernabei has not yet been spotted wearing a Celtic jersey in a correct manner.
“He has been brilliant in pre-season in terms of mentality and attitude, and I felt for him,” Rodgers remarked of Bernabei [The Sun] at the time, despite the fact that he was not amused by the conduct of his players.
Whatever may have occurred, the alarm did not go off on the very first morning of the season, which was the first game of the season. To wait would be a waste of my time.
In other words, we put an end to it. A good person, he is. You are required to acquire knowledge, and you must be prepared.
His level of professionalism is outstanding, and there is no cause for concern.
“When you join a club, the quality of your performance both on and off the field is extremely important from the beginning.
“It’s true that we all make mistakes, but if you learn from them, you’ll be better off in the long run.”
I was given a slap on the wrist, and then Rodgers complimented me on my performance. However, despite this, the Argentine is still remaining on the bench as he waits for an opportunity to make an impression that may never come through.
The future of Alexandro Bernabei in Celtic appears to be dismal.
B.R. As a result of this update from Guidi, Bernabei’s future at Celtic appears to be dubious. Celtic has been under the impression that Bernabei could be one of the few players who Rodgers will let go in January.
A defeat over Hibs by a score of 4-2 was Bernabei’s final start for Celtic, which was under the direction of Ange Postecoglou in May of this year. Prior to that, he didn’t perform up to expectations against Rangers in the 3-0 loss that took place at Ibrox, and he hasn’t started for the team since then.
There is a strong indication that Bernabei is going to have to put up a battle in order to save his Celtic career. Is it a contest that he has a chance of winning? It does not appear to be the case at all.
‘I know’ pertains to other news… Currently, Mark Guidi has made an interesting transfer claim for Celtic in front of the January window.

‘I know’ pertains to other news… Currently, Mark Guidi has made an interesting transfer claim for Celtic in front of the January window.
It’s still not clear if the Celtic board will spend a lot of money and listen to Rodgers’ advice. However, writer Mark Guidi thinks that the Hoops might be about to spend a lot of money in January because of the European losses.
“I don’t think it’s okay,” Guidi said on The Go Radio Football Show. Because of the success they’ve had and where they are now in this section.
It’s January, though, and the boss wants to strengthen two or three key areas in January instead of waiting until the summer. This is because they are currently top of the league.
After Celtic’s loss in the Champions League this week, there has been a lot of talk about transfers. With the January window coming up soon, Brendan Rodgers wants to add top players to his team.
“The right goals are there.” Celtic could spend £15.5 million on two or three good players to make the team stronger. I wouldn’t say no to that.
“The boss’s word is now clear. The board knows he’s tired of saying it. Not any more projects, only real people.”
Celtic needs to back Patrick Rodgers
Rodgers needs to get everything he needs in January, and the Celtic board needs to back him up. Since Brendan Rodgers is no longer in Europe, he can only win the league title and the Scottish Cup.
In terms of money, this league might be the most important one in recent years. With changes being made to the Champions League, the Scottish champions could win up to £60 million by automatically making it to next season’s group rounds.
The fans will be furious if Celtic lets that money go to the other side of the city because they weren’t ready for the transfer window.
This is the question. Should Celtic pay £15 million and let Rodgers win the league and take home £60 million? The board now has it.
Celtic supporters have learned from the Champions League that their current squad isn’t strong enough to make it that far.
Only Paulo Bernardo and Hyunjun Yang, out of Celtic’s eight summer signings, began last night’s match against Lazio.
With neither player still on the field after the final whistle, Celtic’s hopes of competing in Europe came to an end. The printed image is not attractive.
Last night, in a must-win game, Celtic benched one man once again, and it appears like it could be the end of his career with the club.
Rodgers benched David Turnbull in favor of Paulo Bernardo because the manager believed Bernardo might help Celtic win in Rome.
The last two Celtic home matches saw no Bernardo, however he was substituted in against Lazio. In contrast, Turnbull started and scored in both of those matches.
Unfortunately for Turnbull, trading out your leading SPFL scorer for a man who has struggled to register a single shot on goal is not encouraging. Not only that, but it has occurred multiple times this season.
Plus, what kind of message does that give Turnbull? I don’t have faith in you, even though you’re good enough to score and win points in Scotland.
Just till the season ends is Bernardo on loan. His impact on Celtic’s performance this season has been insignificant.
In contrast, Turnbull has scored seven goals in eleven games and prevented Celtic from losing even more ground than they did.
Even though the 24-year-old midfielder didn’t have a major impact last night, Celtic benched him in favor of a player who has only played 143 minutes of domestic football, yet he is still expected to keep the club’s European aspirations alive.
With no new deal in sight, Turnbull’s situation is not looking good as he approaches the last six months of his current deal. It appears that Turnbull’s tenure at Celtic is winding down.
I have heard a lot of different thoughts about Celtic’s move business so far this season, but this has to be the strangest one.
People who play for Celtic will always be tied with moves away from the club. Even more so for people who are obviously talented.
Because players get a lot of attention at a club like Celtic, whether they win titles and cups or make it to the Champions League.
It’s just how the beast is. But Celtic have made it clear this season that teams will have to pay the going rate for their best players if they want to play for them.
After Ange Postecoglou left for Spurs, the Parkhead club signed eight first-team stars to new deals this summer.
They also turned down last-minute summer offers for two of their players, which makes Barry Ferguson’s story even stranger.
Ferguson sounds like he thinks Celtic would take £10 million for Matt O’Riley if it was offered to them in January.
Recent news stories say that Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are interested in signing the Celtic player, so it will cost a lot more than £10m to get him.
“It’ll be interesting,” Ferguson told The Go Radio Football Show. This season, Matt O’Riley has likely been the best Celtic player.
“What will happen if someone bids £10 million in January?” Are they going to sell him?
“Does someone go get him a new job?” Since I believe clubs will be interested in him.
“He never really had a good night last night [against Lazio], but I think he’s been one of Celtic’s best players all season.”
He won’t leave Celtic for £10 million.
Celtic turned down a £10 million offer in August, before O’Riley signed a new deal, which makes Ferguson’s idea even less likely to work.
A recent study on football also put O’Riley’s worth at over £12 million, and that was before he signed a new deal. His recent play in the Champions League has shown that he is a player who can perform at the top level.
Even stranger is the fact that Ferguson once put O’Riley’s value at £15 million earlier in the season.
He seems to want Celtic to sell him. I understand why he did it. The Danish star has been great, helping the team win five of the last six trophies. As long as he is at the club, everyone is sure that he will continue to do well.
People at Celtic have told them that they should think about selling James McCarthy before the January transfer market opens.
The midfielder, who used to play for the Republic of Ireland, hasn’t played a single minute in the Scottish Premiership this season under Brendan Rodgers. Dean Jones thinks that teams might be interested in him when the transfer market opens.
Jones told GiveMeSport, “It will be interesting to see what door opens for James McCarthy in January.” I’m sure we’ll hear about some links.
“He does feel like Celtic has forgotten about him right now, so I think they need to think about the future and whether he’s a part of it.” Right now, I don’t think it’s likely.”
The strange story of James McCarthy’s time at Celtic
McCarthy was one of the first players to sign a four-year deal with Celtic under Ange Postecouglou. He joined in the summer of 2021.
Even though he only played 42 times for Crystal Palace over three seasons, Celtic gave the 31-year-old a long-term deal.
McCarthy has only played 27 times for the first team in his two seasons with Celtic. They are all under Postecoglou.
Since Brendan Rodgers took over as manager in the summer, he hasn’t played for Celtic in any way.
McCarthy has played for Celtic for 801 minutes, which is just over 29 minutes per game on average. (Transfer Market)
That’s a lot of money for one person to spend, at £14,000 a week [SalarySport]. It’s easy to see why McCarthy is one of the players rumored to be leaving Celtic.
What Brendan Rodgers thought about James McCarthy’s time at Celtic
McCarthy recently said that he is leaving the team, which shows that the Celtic boss has a lot of respect for him.
Rodgers told Glagow Live, “It’s a real shame for James because he was a clear Celtic fan as a kid.”
“He was a great player, and I saw him a lot in the Premier League.” He’s a nice guy, but some injuries and other problems have made his time here short, so he will be looking to move on.
Rodgers didn’t try to hide it. Brady’s time at Celtic looks like it’s over. With a little more than 18 months left on his deal, I think Celtic wouldn’t want a big fee, if any at all. They would just want to get rid of him and save money on his salary.
Not so for Jota. He loved his time at Celtic. He made that clear when he left the club, and Brendan Rodgers could ask him about it, so who’s to say he wouldn’t say no?
The rumors that Celtic will sign Jota again aren’t going away any time soon, are they?
Fans loved the Portuguese winger very much at Celtic, and I think it’s safe to say that if he came back, it would be a huge win for the team.
Jota is reportedly being coveted by both Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic. If Celtic were to pursue their interest in him, they would have to deal with competition that would make it impossible for them to do so financially.
The chance that Jota will go back to Celtic
Journalist Mark Guidi, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to think he will be back. When asked if the Treble-winning winger could go back to Glasgow, Guidi says that there is one big problem that would make it hard for any deal to happen.
“I don’t think that’s likely,” Guidi said on The Go Radio Football Show. With the money he’d be making, I think it would make more sense for him to go somewhere else, like England.
“What do you do? Celtic has Palma and Yang, as well as wide players.” Do you really want to bring Jota back if it will hurt those two?”
All the cards are on the table. I really want Jota to come back to Celtic, but I know that won’t happen. Guidi thinks that salaries might be a problem, but even at Spurs, the Portuguese player won’t get the same deal.
In that area, Spurs are stronger than Celtic, but can they emotionally connect with Jota like Celtic can, even with Ange Postecoglou in charge? It seems unlikely to me.
I think Guidi is right, though, which is a shame. I think that the time for Celtic to sign Jota has passed, and he’s more likely to end up in England or on the continent.
Many promising young Celtic players have left the club in pursuit of first-team opportunities within the last decade or so.
The most recent addition to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool squad is Ben Doak, who just departed Celtic for the Reds.
Another player who has been touted as a future superstar but has failed to establish himself at Celtic is Rocco Vata.
However, Celtic let Liam Henderson, another promising young player under Brendan Rodgers’ tutelage, go for Italy in 2018.
The 27-year-old Henderson revealed the actual reasons behind his move from Lennoxtown to the Stadio San Nicola, where he is currently on loan at Palermo, after leaving Glasgow for Bari.
“I always said if I was playing for Celtic every single week it would never have even come into consideration,” Henderson stated in an official Celtic FC podcast.
Because, in my opinion, Celtic is one of the most illustrious football clubs in the world. I mean, it would never have occurred if I was a regular Celtic player.
I had to take the initiative to better myself, though.
Reasons Celtic lost Liam Henderson
The Celtic faithful were enthralled by Henderson. Despite his high club rating, he faced intense competition for a spot on Celtic’s roster after the team had just won the Invincibles Treble.
Henderson had almost no chance of breaking through for Celtic at that moment because to the fantastic play of Scott Brown, Tom Rogic, Callum McGregor, Olivier Ntcham, and Stuart Armstrong.
However, following productive loan stints with Rosenborg and Hibs, Henderson decided to leave Celtic and join Bari after making 37 appearances under Neil Lennon. The step-up to that Celtic team was simply too large.
It’s hard to think that Henderson left Celtic over six years ago, but he and Doak show that the correct decision can lead to success even after leaving Paradise.
“Superior midfielder in Scotland”… Peter Martin asserts that Celtic have a player who surpasses Matt O’Riley. The tremendous benefit of Celtic is that the club is staffed with countless talented players who are all beginning to flourish this season.
One that is readily apparent is Matt O’Riley. The 23-year-old midfielder’s performance in the 2-2 draw at Celtic Park against Atletico Madrid earned him the title of the nation’s finest player.
Additionally, Luis Palma has been showered with praise as the Honduran destroys the Scottish Premier League and the Champions League.
However, none of those three have captured the attention of analyst Peter Martin. Following the observation of Scotland’s qualification for Euro 2024, Martin was ecstatic with the performances of Celtic skipper Callum McGregor for his nation.
Martin stated [PLZ Soccer], “When I observe our midfield trio and the way they operate, I am reminded that McGinn, who is as robust as an ox, runs himself into the ground.”My pick for the most outstanding midfielder in Scotland is Callum McGregor. “He effectively maintains the operation of the group like a well-oiled machine; additionally, we have Scott McTominay.”
Callum McGregor is considered a legend in Celtic. He will shortly depart for Scotland.
McGregor is without a doubt regarded as a legend at Celtic. The fact that he has won seven League Cups, five Scottish Cups, and eight league titles speaks for itself.
Breaking News: ‘project signing’ -Brendan Rodgers confirms the 22-year-old striker is currently considering leaving Celtic amid January transfer window
Celtic fans can’t wait for January to come around so they can see if Brendan Rodgers adds any new players to the team.
That’s what the Celtic boss said: the Hoops need to cut down on their squad. And it looks like one player is already looking for a way out.
This summer, a record number of teams signed young Marco Tilio from the Australian A-League. It cost Celtic £1.5 million to sign the midfielder, which made him Australia’s most expensive product.
Brendan Rodgers stated that Tilio was having a hard time adjusting to life at Celtic because of his injury and the fact that Scottish football is much more intense than Tilio is used to.
A report in the Daily Record says that Tilio is “considering” a loan move in January to try to get some first-team games.
According to the story, Tilio hopes that his work with the Australian U23 team will help convince Rodgers to give him more playing time with the first team. If it doesn’t, he is “open” to a possible loan move.
Ufuk Talay, the assistant manager of the Australian national team, called Tilio a “exciting” player. The Brazilian does have some promise, but he hasn’t had the chance to show it yet.
Another big fan of the Celtic winger is Craig Moore, who used to play for Rangers and thinks of him as a “project signing.”
No matter what is wrong with the young player, he won’t play ahead of Daizen Maeda, Luis Palma, or Hyunjun Yang until he gets plenty of minutes in those legs. All three of them are in great form right now.
Liel Abada will fall even further down the ranks when he comes back in December. He sounds like he could be a good player for Celtic in the future, so let’s hope he can find the game he wants.
Breaking News: “I think he’ll have to go somewher” 24 years-old celtic forward as he was told to leave Celtic Fc to save his football career this next transfer window
With so many players on the first team, it’s almost impossible for Brendan Rodgers to make sure that all of them get to play.
The manager of the Hoops has said that he wants to cut down the team in January and that some players who don’t play much will be let go.
The Celtic winger Mikey Johnston hasn’t played much for Rodgers, even though he’s been very good for the Republic of Ireland, so he might be one of the players who leaves, either on loan or forever.
Mark Guidi, a football expert, told the 24-year-old that he needs to leave the club if he wants to play more with the first team.
“The Liam Scales story is obviously inspiring for any football player who’s maybe having a hard time finding his way,” Guidi said on The Go Radio Football Show.
“Mikey Johnston, I don’t see him beating or ever getting ahead of Liel Abada when he’s healthy, Palma right now, or Maeda on the other side.”
“So I think Mikey Johnston is a very good football player, but I think he’ll have to go somewhere else to play regular football.”
Johnston hasn’t started a game for Celtic this season under Brendan Rodgers. He wasn’t on the team at the beginning of the season because of an illness, but he’s been seen only once in a Celtic game since then.
