Paulo Bernardo admits to a transfer, as the Celtic star declares that the “door is open” just months after Benfica’s departure. Paulo Bernardo, a Celtic
midfielder, believes that the opportunity to play for Benfica is still available to him. Last summer, the 22-year-old permanently transferred from the Lisbon giants to the Scottish Premiership champions. Under Brendan Rodgers, he has continued to develop, assisting in the filling of the void created by Matt O’Riley’s substantial departure for Premier League side Brighton. His stock has continued to rise during the international break as a result of his performance for Portugal’s U21 team, which included a goal in the victory over the Faroe Islands and another in the victory over Romania.
