For what seems like an eternity, Newcastle United has been associated with the acquisition of a new defender. Despite the fact that Lloyd Kelly arrived during the summer, Newcastle was unable to secure Marc Guehi.
Although it appears that the Palace defender will not be moving this month, the club is still believed to be keen in Guehi. Rival interest in the England international may present a challenge by the time the summer arrives.
Consequently, other names have been associated with the position, as sporting director Paul Mitchell is reportedly eager to explore the market in a broader sense.Team MP W D L GD Pts 3 Nottm Forest 19 11 4 4 7 37 4 Chelsea 19 10 5 4 15 35 5 Newcastle 19 9 5 5 11 32 6

The Austrian player began his career at MK Dons in the youth levels and later played for Southampton before reestablishing himself with the French club. Everything you need to know about the January transfer window:
Newcastle has been affiliated with exciting forwards, including Isak and Gordon. Newcastle United is interested in Kevin Danso.Newcastle has demonstrated a significant interest in the 26-year-old central defender, as reported by Caught Offside.
Wolves and West Ham are also believed to be interested. Juventus, Inter Milan, Roma, Bayern Munich, Fenerbahce, and Villarreal have also been credited with an interest. Lens is reportedly seeking a price of approximately £20-£25 million for Danso.
It is unlikely that Newcastle would consider Danso a new addition to their roster, as he was previously identified as a potential target in April 2023. It is intriguing that Danso has made significant progress.
He has participated in the Champions League, which is a significant departure from his status as a rotational option at Southampton. Danso appeared to have no interest in playing football.
In 2022, he disclosed to The Athletic that he initially considered the sport to be “boring” before developing a passion for it during his tenure at MK Dons. “My time at MK Dons is the reason I developed a passion for football,” he stated. “Prior to that, I believed that football was the most uninteresting activity.”
