Jadon Sancho conveys a clear message as Manchester United and Liverpool draw in the midst of a transfer agreement.
Jadon Sancho, a Manchester United loanee, shared a celebratory photo with his Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer after his parent side secured a 2-2 draw against Liverpool.
Ruben Amorim’s team defied critics by placing the Premier League leaders under duress and denting their aspirations, thereby denying the Anfield club the opportunity to move eight points clear. United’s recent performances have been devoid of determination and perseverance, which was evident in their performance.
Lisandro Martinez scored from close range, sending the away end into ecstasy following the resumption for the second half. Liverpool, however, responded with resistance and initiated a reversal by scoring two goals in the span of 11 minutes.
Alejandro Garnacho and Amad combined 10 minutes before the end of the game to restore parity. The backline and Amorim were on their toes with the final kick of the game after Harry Maguire’s overshot.
After the two combined for the Londoners during Saturday’s stalemate with Crystal Palace, Sancho shared a post on social media with Chelsea star Palmer, while his former teammates were in action. The 26-year-old posted a photo of the pair performing Palmer’s celebration on Instagram, where she labeled the England international with a handshake emoji.
Despite a recent downturn in form, which has seen Enzo Maresca’s team lose points over the festive period against the likes of Everton, Fulham, Ipswich, and Palace, they remain in the Champions League spots with a one-point cushion over Newcastle United in fifth and two clear of Manchester City.
