Celtic
Brendan Rodgers has a “gut feeling” regarding the new Celtic contract for a key player as a significant “issue” is revealed.
Brendan Rodgers is unwavering in his belief that his Celtic squad can accommodate two exceptional left-backs.
He is confident that he can persuade Greg Taylor to sign a new contract, despite reports that Dinamo Zagreb are on the brink of acquiring his services when his contract expires at the end of the season. Taylor, the former star of Kilmarnock, is currently unrestricted in his ability to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with any prospective candidates.
There is speculation that the Croatian capital may be his next destination. According to reports, the 27-year-old has already reached an agreement with the Italian legend Fabio Cannavaro, who oversees the club.
Taylor is currently in negotiations with the Scottish champions regarding a new contract; however, the two parties have not yet reached an agreement. Rodgers is optimistic that the matter will be resolved in the near future.
The head of Hoops proclaimed, “My inclination will continue to be to attempt to persuade Greg to remain here.” “Of course, as time progresses, this becomes less significant; however, it does not alter his professionalism.”
He is an exceptional professional. “We will simply have to observe the events of the subsequent four months.” Greg and I have engaged in numerous candid discussions regarding this matter. Certainly, that (Kieran’s return) is a concern.Over 50 contests are played each season, and it is impossible to field a single player in each one.
I would not wish to do so, as you will not possess the appropriate physical attributes. The club, squad, and changing room would all benefit greatly from the presence of two players of that calibre. Greg is required to contemplate these matters.
“I do not perceive it as a problem from my vantage point, as I am aware that he will participate in numerous significant games.” He is responsible for making that decision independently. He would assume a separate function.
