‘Crazy’ – Eddie Howe and Nuno Espírito Santo concur after Newcastle United defeated Nottingham Forest 4-3 On Sunday,
Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest engaged in a classic “game of two halves” at St. James’ Park, according to Eddie Howe and Nuno Espírito Santo.
At halftime, Newcastle held a 4-1 lead, as Callum Hudson-Odoi’s opening goal was cancelled out by Lewis Miley, Jacob Murphy, and two goals from Alexander Isak. The second half saw Forest score two goals, which created a tense finish for Newcastle. Nikola Milenkovic and Ryan Yates contributed to the comeback.
“I believe it could be summed up as [a game of two halves],” Howe stated. “Yes, very much so.” I mean, this is an absurd game. In the end, Howe’s team was able to secure the victory and advance to fifth place in the ranking, three points behind Forest.
