Newcastle United
Alexander Isak has already expressed his sentiments regarding Liverpool amid the “gentleman’s agreement” for the transfer.
Alexander Isak will be the subject of much attention as Liverpool faces Newcastle today. The Reds, in particular, may be closely monitoring him, if recent rumours are accurate.
This season, Newcastle’s striker has been in exceptional form; in fact, only Mohamed Salah has scored more Premier League goals than him. In the last 18 games, he has scored 18 of his 19 league goals. Additionally, he played a significant role in the Magpies’ advancement to the Carabao Cup final, where they will face the Reds once more next month.
Isak’s hot streak was actually initiated against Liverpool in early December, which was the first of eight consecutive Premier League games in which he scored. This sequence has resulted in a significant increase in his transfer value, with Arne Slot’s organisation purportedly being one of the interested parties.
Liverpool is in need of a new striker, and Isak has been suggested as a potential candidate. Recent reports have even suggested that Nunez may be included in a swap deal. Although a report from last month indicated that Newcastle could request as much as $247 million (£200M), a transfer may not be entirely implausible.
This is due to the fact that Isak himself seems to have a favourable opinion of Liverpool. Although Newcastle undoubtedly aspires to have players regard St James’ Park as their ultimate destination, the allure of Anfield may still be substantial.
